The HF propagation map has a new feature that shows the past week of amateur radio activity for each dxcc entity. At a glance one can see what bands and modes are being used. As an example, see the charts for Kenya: hf.dxview.org/activity/430 #hamradio
A set of colorful charts showing recent amateur radio activity from Kenya. The display is divided between activity during the past day and another for the past week.

Broadband (fiber optic) is being rolled out in my very rural MN community right now. They have been working on it most of the Spring. My house has been wired to an external junction box (no inside equipment yet). In general, I don't believe community members have any idea why this is happening.

It's not quite to $3 here in rural Minnesota. I thought yesterday would be a good day to fill all the vehicles as it wouldn't be less any time soon. I paid $2.779. The last time at the same station it was 2.619. The main vehicle is a plugin Honda Clarity and which may go many weeks until next fill.

SW Minnesota is in the midst of another snow storm the NWS failed to predict. A lot of misses this year, and it can be dangerous. Has something changed at NWS? They used to give us a heads up days ahead.
