Scary Poppins the Super-Ninny
Scary Poppins the Super-Ninny"Gentle parenting [sic] What a marketing SHIT show. I gave you what you needed 2 decades ago, emotional intelligence and boundaries with consequences this [sic] is the fine balance required, now look at all these parents confused" …Jo Frost"I SAID WHAT I SAID.

And now you, the parent, are getting scolded for 'over correcting' well, it is you doing however who do you think led you there? Yes, the parenting arena, for simply following advice you thought was sound on social media led by some with very clear agendas and it weren't to help YOU but themselves. I'm reading your emails, you're confused and don't know what to do for the best. It's not right you're in this space.

Let’s be clear: there are 4 types of parenting styles, and when we spend most of our time in the authoritative space where I’ve lived [ NOT authoritarian big difference ] for decades, working in real homes with real families with real issues your children thrive, and your family stays strong and connected.

I gave you that foundation over 20 years ago publicly and I’ll say it now you need to have discernment out there on social media.

There are a lot of voices and not all sound, I see you, I - see - you, and I'm coming for you on behalf of the children, y'all talking about parenting but many can’t walk the talk. No wisdom. No overall lived expertise... And that’s not okay...it's morally wrong, I feel protective of you all because your family matters. Your children matter.

Parenting isn’t about “doing trends.” It’s about applying what truly works for your family. Jo xx"Jo Frost is a hack who uses out-dated, behaviourism-based, coercion-based methods to enforce compliance, rather than encouraging caregivers to focus on meeting the needs of children.

I SAID WHAT I SAID.

Behaviourism does not and CANNOT teach emotional regulation skills.
Behaviourism does not and CANNOT teach emotional regulation skills.In fact, it usually has the opposite effect of suppressing people’s self-regulation behaviours through punishment (and yes, negative punishment, such as withholding rewards, is still a form of punishment).Behaviourism, by definition, does not acknowledge, or even consider, internal experiences. It focuses exclusively on observable behaviour.Rather than providing children with strategies and tools for emotional regulation, their behaviour is modified using glorified dog training, in which they are forced to behave in ways that make the (usually neurotypical) adults around them more comfortable.

Being Anti-Eugenics Does Not Mean Denying Disability People's value should not be based on a capitalist idea of "productivity" Recently, disability advocate Andi Putt wrote a piece for People magazine about RFK Jr.’s first press conference as Secretary of Health and Human Services for the U.S.
Being Anti-Eugenics Does Not Mean Denying DisabilityBeing anti-eugenics does not mean denying the realities of living with disability in an ableist world.

Believing all lives have inherent value does not ignore the fact that some people’s lives are harder than others.We need to stop placing ourselves and each other into some kind of hierarchy, including turning a broad spectrum into a measuring stick to be weaponized against people perceived to have it “easier” than you.Learn more by reading my article, Being Anti-Eugenics Does Not Mean Denying Disability (and many others) on Medium and Substack

Differences Are Not Deficits Autism, neuronormative ideology, and the ABA industry
Difference, Not DeficitThose who have been following my research might remember I have developed three defining features of neuronormative ideology, based on Sonja K. Foss’ model of ideological criticism.

The four key characteristics of neuronormative ideology are...Neuronormative Ideology:
1. suggestions that neurodivergent ways of being and doing are unacceptable, negative, or undesirable;
2. the pathologization of neurodivergent traits merely because they’re different, and not because they are inherently problematic;
3. assuming superiority of neurotypical traits and behaviour over neurodivergent traits and behaviour; and
4. giving authority to neurotypical views while disregarding neurodivergent experiences.Learn more by reading my article, Differences Are Not Deficits (and many others) on Medium and Substack

This is an Advice posted by Bernice Albertine King (daughter of Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King) quite a few years ago on FB. I found it in www.ebony.com/bernice-king... written by Melissa Kimble, February 8, 2017. Instead of "45", I'll use "The GOP's President" or something similar.
This is an advice from Bernice Albertine King, the daughter of Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King.

"... Some Wise Advice Circulating:
1. Don’t use his name; EVER (45 will do)
2. Remember this is a regime and he’s not acting alone;
3. Do not argue with those who support him–it doesn’t work;
4. Focus on his policies, not his orange-ness and mental state;
5. Keep your message positive; they want the country to be angry and fearful because this is the soil from which their darkest policies will grow;
6. No more helpless/hopeless talk;
7. Support artists and the arts;
8. Be careful not to spread fake news. Check it;
9. Take care of yourselves; and
10. Resist!

Keep demonstrations peaceful. In the words of John Lennon, “When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you – pull your beard, flick your face – to make you fight! Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor.”

When you post or talk about him, don’t assign his actions to him, assign them to “The Republican Administration,” or “The Republicans.” This will have several effects: the Republican legislators will either have to take responsibility for their association with him or stand up for what some of them don’t like; he will not get the focus of attention he craves; Republican representatives will become very concerned about their re-elections.
(Copy to paste to your Timeline – wider than sharing)

Bernice King prompts others to copy and paste it to their respective timelines to spread the word. During such chaotic times, it’s great to feel the spirit of those who have worked so hard leading us towards solution. A great reminder that while the fight may not be easy, it is worth it."

If you’re going to virtue signal by sharing a post of some kind on social media, at least do your homework first. Sharing a photo is even less helpful than “slacktivism”, it’s absolutely meaningless and does nothing for the community purportedly being “supported” with that image.

In a CBC news article, journalist Santiago Arias Orozco explains Poilievre wants to make Churchill's port an 'arctic gateway'.

From that article:

"At the rally, the conservative leader said he would also create a shovel-ready zone, or a designated area already permitted for construction, up to the Port of Churchill — "an arctic gateway" from where Canada should be shipping "all manner of resources."

Earlier on Saturday Poilievre said there needs to be a plan to export oil out of the northern Manitoba port, after he was asked if he would honour the federal Liberal commitment made in February to work with Manitoba to finish restoring the rail line to Churchill and restore and upgrade infrastructure at the port itself.

The notion of using the port to ship oil has been studied and abandoned in the past but has been revived as an idea in recent months amid Canada's escalating trade war with the United States and the desire to find new markets for Canadian energy.

At [yesterday's] rally, Poilievre... called for the Liberal environmental review law or Bill C-69, also sometimes known as 'no more pipelines act' to be repealed."Poilievre wants to destroy the natural beauty of Churchill and make it a shipping port and increase oil pipelines, which destroy our environment.Polar bears are listed as threatened under The Endangered Species Act.
