Vintage Friday: Personnel from the Norwegian Naval Home Guard inspect crew served weapons before an exercise in 1957. The branch was cut due to budget constraints in 2017.
Text on negative envelope: "Naval Defence Force course at Persaunet (adr)" 10.1957

The Adressa newspaper printed picture 2 and writes: "Maritime Home Guard course at Persaunet. -There has been an exceptionally good turnout and few applications to be exempted this time," says the head of the Maritime Home Guard in the Marine Command Trøndelag area, Lieutenant Commander Funder, to Adresseavisen. 90 men have now been called up for the fifth and penultimate initial course in the area. The course ends on November 4, to be followed up with a continuous completion of the 50 hours of mandatory annual service. This is done by transporting the Home Guard area - Persaunet's own area - to a place in the Trondheimsfjord, where the last ones will be landed and attack a fortification at night next Saturday and Sunday. The course is attended by 65 men from HV area 13, the rest are from HV 12. They are divided into liaison officers and artillerymen - because there will be cannons in the fishing boats, if necessary. In this way, the course forms a relevant apropos to the film "Ni liv", which recently took place in Trondheim."
