Today my mom retired. Commercial flowers are atrociously expensive, so yesterday we hit up Trader Joe's, spent $40 picking out flowers to fill this huge vase i got for free from a funeral years ago. Wife did the amazing 3ft tall arraignment, & we surprised Mom after work!

Finished the candy hearts my wife got me. These have to be the least cute fucking heart phrases I've ever seen. "Buy n bulk"? "Car pool"? Just depressing.

My D&D group all just rolled new characters. I've gotten so excited about mine (homebrew Sprite species, with eventual homebrew Oath of Protection paladin) that I dug out my old sketchbook to do a couple character drawings. Off to a good start, I think, considering I'm a rusty amateur.

My wife was excitedly harvesting the first big round of garden tomatoes this morning, carefully placing them at the edge of the raised bed behind her. Only to turn around and discover that Phineas had already helped himself to the biggest, prettiest Purple Cherokee.

Ok, it may not look like it, but this is a big deal. Kaegan (tuxedo) is elderly, has always been anxious, & averse to climbing anything taller than 3ft. Goblin (void) is very dominant & territorial. So them snuggled together on the 5ft high cat shelves above my desk is a minor miracle.
