it's quite notably that apps that use hardware acceleration, after an nvidia driver crash get unhooked and end up needing a restart because they stop working. examples are battlenet, where login stops working, an rdp client where ui stop rendering drop shadow, sharex where ui stops working.

currently on steam achievements after just under 2 weeks just under 20% are showing the achievement for the final boss in #controlresonant i finished with 74 hours played. i have some more achievements i think i will actually do.

well, rolled credits on control resonant and have more mixed feeling than i was expecting. both about the story and how the game played. i appreciate remedy took a big swing, but immediate reaction is it just doesn't hit the same as the first game.

lol what i dont want in control resonant is a boss that is an extreme DPS check with a hard enrage on it. im not playing an MMO #controlresonant

im really not enjoying this final zone of control resonant. it's a visual nightmare (not complimentary) with bloom and Vaseline all over the screen

we're going to start seeing a lot of mashup games in the next few months. saw on youtube yesterday someone took old wow code and added the skate 3 engine so you can now skateboard in wow. this is just going to accelerate. github's contribs on projects always a good place to check.

i know zero about live production but every time i tune into a live novara media show on youtube their production seems super bad. you'll see presenters sit waiting for a clip to get played they mention, sitting their for 20-30 seconds as someone struggles to play something or bring up a screenshot.

just had a bit spoiled in #controlresonant because it was completely indecipherable what you were supposed to do. it tells you to jump off something but doesn't explain why, and doesn't telegraph what to do so i literally just fell through without aiming anywhere, not helped by goofy gravity.

@bradshoemaker.bsky.social you don't lock yourself out of content by killing an area boss. It just refreshes the enemies with harder ones and adds some new menial quests that aren't story content. All side quests are always available.

there's some nice background stories in #controlresonant that are beginning to integrate the wider world community so that it's not just the FBC and America dealing with paranatural events.
