This is just not true. Just look at donations by employment industry. The modal computer dweeb is the biggest lib you've ever met. We have a fatal flaw of often ending up in the service of fascist money guys though, because they provide what we crave: interesting problems to automate. and money.

Progress. Building this is making me wonder what's going to happen to apps like Strava because your own personal version that works exactly how you want is more than within reach now. Premium features? You're having a laugh.

Thought I'd give Rory and Alistair another try as they've had the PM on. They've opened by deciding that of course religion must be important and quizzing Burnham about his Catholicism and nope, I'm immediately out again.

That doesn't need an anonymous fess, the camera shop I worked in as a teenager was owned by a dirty old man and there was a best-of gallery on the wall behind the counter where customers couldn't see it. Assume they all did.

It's tremendously satisfying to top something that you couldn't even have got off the mat to try to start 12 months ago :)

Climbed a couple of new V5 routes so it's all smiles in the bouldering world again. V6 aint gonna happen this year but it is next.

British Conservatives: "Russia has disgracefully interfered in politics in France, Germany, Sweden, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and invaded Ukraine. They even meddled in the US elections." Also British Conservatives: "What? Russia! Interfere in Brexit? Ridiculous! Just a tired old conspiracy theory."

I never thought we'd actually see a guilty verdict so am feeling quite optimistic at the moment that the punishment will be appropriately massive.

Oh I don't know, a big enough fine would probably do it. Find ADUG to be improper owners, then pick a big round number for the fine... £900m feels appropriate. Man City would do a Rangers, go bust and have to apply to the football league to start again at whatever level they were allowed in.

I was just imagining what a fascinating and impressive human I would be if I’d spent the last 20 years reading books instead of looking at social media, but unfortunately I am an empty shell of a man, alternately furious and terrified, still, we are where we are *scrolls*

Making the paragliding flight visualisation app I've always wanted. This new world where when you have an idea you don't have to spend 6 months learning a whole new framework is a lot of fun.

I'd forgotten how hard that is. Plus last time I reffed a Sunday league friendly many years ago, there were no over-competitive parents on the touchline and half the players were too hungover to run.

I like the Greens and have voted for them often. They did a good thing in choosing a single leader after that childish shared leadership nonsense but unfortunately they picked a terrible candidate.

Honestly thought they might run this as a stadium event. They're not far off now.

Grim. No AI would have thought of giving The Tiger Who Came to Tea a broad Welsh accent and so my kids would have a much higher opinion of me now. Which would be terrible.

And abolish stamp duty at the same time. My Dad is very conscious of IHT and they're comfortable (not rich). I can absolutely guarantee that if the Tories did this my parents would immediately buy the biggest house they could afford.

It would be nice to see it repeated somewhere in West Yorkshire. On general principle given the subject and also because I'd like to go, it looks great.

That new Jag is spectacularly ugly. It looks like somebody learning to draw has tried to sketch a car, buggered up the dimensions and abandoned it half-finished, with the construction lines still visible.

It's like a lot of open source - gives you tons of detailed options that you rarely need, just in case you like that sort of thing. Once you realise the 'Colour Balance RGB' tool contains 80% of what you want to do, it's much easier :)

I don't know. If you're looking for an open source LR alternative though, Darktable is very good but it does take some getting used to. Worth persevering with.

That Lightroom clone is very lightweight compared to the real thing (and it's bloody awful at loading RAW images). Impressive all the same and a lovely small download but it's a long way short of replacing anything you can't already do for free.

That's not Lightroom, it's closer to Google's photo editor. It's not bad (its RAW import is bad) but it's nowhere near as capable as Darktable or Lightroom. Still, a useful suite to bookmark.

Disappointed that "weird" doesn't appear in Badenoch's word cloud. Apart from being the right answer, it means nowhere near enough people are listening to Dead Ringers.

This is very good. Massive points deductions screw up the league and punish the fans, so priorities should be to expunge the titles, kick ADUG out of English football and enough transfer restrictions to consign MCFC back to their 2008 mid-table level. www.theguardian.com/football/202...

If Man City get a massive points deduction, ADUG have to be declared not fit and proper owners, surely? Maybe they'll just drop the whole project anyway but you can't read that judgment and conclude they were a bit naughty but they're probably OK now.

Not enough media conversation around abolishing the triple lock touches on UK state pensions being bloody awful. The triple lock is very slowly improving them towards EU levels. Rich pensioners we see today are due to final salary schemes and our generation don't have those.

This is colliding with a coaching view that winning itself is the prize and almost everything else is secondary. RUN. PUT THE WORK IN. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Actually there are no prizes because the FA know this is what some adults are like so there's no league table until the lads are older.

Having difficult conversations around kids football at the moment. My view is that they're 11 and none of them are going to be professionals so the real aim each week is that they want to play again the following week. Winning matches is important but only because it keeps them motivated to play.

Advertising person here. The new world is working out what you can do that AI can't, or what you can do with AI's help that other people can't. That is not posters. Don't feel bad if you hadn't realised though, the big advertising agencies haven't either and they're heading for very serious trouble.
