#AlevelMaths another silly marking question from me. If mark scheme says “must see a correct expression with all powers of evaluated prior to obtaining 9/4” then is this full marks with crossed out line missed or do they need to include that line. Question says fully justify answer. (This is AQA)

Hubby does BiOY every year, I usually don’t make it past the first week 🙈 It doesn’t stop me getting some sort of new Bible or plan each year though in the hope it might be the year I finally learn to be disciplined. This year I’ve gone for The One Story Bible.

Is this what you mean, with cos represented by x coordinate and sin the y coordinate so I suppose in theory you don’t need to know CAST as can just check if it’s positive or negative?

In #mathstoday my yr 1 #alevelmaths did log dominoes, they did really well and it was great to see the different approaches they came up with. They were so happy when they completed the loop in the final minute of class 😀

In #MathsToday A level yr 1 enjoyed starting their Indices topic off with this maze. A level maths is rapidly becoming my favourite lesson to prepare for with so many great resources available. They also enjoyed tackling @mathsjem.bsky.social’s exponential equations. Thanks for all the help!

In #MathsToday in #CoreMaths we looked at the risk of dangerous sports, comparing an initial judgment with the 1 in n risk from data. A great resource from the core maths platform. They were surprised the risk was greater for marathon running than bungee jumping.
