It's probably suspicious that I have a piece I'd definitely do A Crime for. The museum should probably keep an eye on me when I'm there, though. A bust of Queen Tiye, Tutankamun's grandmother. She is depicted as Hathor with a horn & double feather crown. One gold & faience earring is visible.

This was me in the Glasgow airport with 5 others when the airline cancelled all flights & couldn't give us hotel vouchers. We all had rooms at the same Airbnb within an hour & plans for the next day. Nobody was willing to rent a car & drive to AMS that night, as per my first plan. 😄

One of my favorite artists! Here are some photos of a mural NO BONZO painted in Portland. I think her female figures are somewhat stylized but show naturalistic movement & poses. Her treatment of hair & fabric is lovely on these large pieces; it gives a sense of graceful movement & volume.

NO BONZO's work on the supporting columns consists of two monumental female figures in burgundy hip drapes holding sprays of greenery over their bare chests. The two women are looking and gesturing towards each other with stems of greenery on their inside hands.

The hip drapery has detailed folds and gives a sense of motion, as if the woman is turning towards her left.

One detail that I like is the figure's hair - it's long and swept up on one side to display the figure's strong and graceful neck. NO BONZO often showcases naturalistic treatment of hair and hairstyling, even in her larger works.

PWHL Portland must be on the league's radar. Thorns attendance averaged 18000 (2025 season). I'd bet the PWHL can sell out the Coliseum (12k seats) every time. Plus, if Portland & Oregon get stuck paying for Moda Center (19k) improvements, we might as well slide rink facilities into the budget.
