With the app, we can see two scary things: • satellite-derived “hotspot” signatures that show the growing fire perimeters • weather radar depicting smoke plumes pouring 15,000 feet into the sky The Palisades Fire is up to about 3,000 acres; Eaton is roughly 2,300.

The amount of fluoride added to water to prevent tooth decay is so minuscule that—no matter your age, size, or health status—you would die from water poisoning long before you could ever even start getting toxicity from fluoride. Patchy, dense fog has developed across portions of the coastal
plain and eastern portions of the Piedmont. Motorists are urged to
be on the lookout for sudden reductions to visibility a half mile
or less. Visibilities will begin to improve after 2 AM once a
surge of northeasterly winds will mix out the fog.

If traveling, allow extra time to reach your destination.
