Incredible things to be found in the Cartoon Network leaks

If the livestreaming of this execution is the issue there are two ways to solve the problem: stop the execution, or stop the livestreaming. One person seems very clear that stopping the livestreaming solves the problem. The other thinks that's actually just ignoring it.

. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I'm sure that will be very useful information for you in future

. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
You think the argument is weak because you dismiss any of the comorbid circumstances as irrelevant without consideration. I don't think there was ever much to be gained from this conversation with you, specifically
100
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
If you think that's not the issue at hand, you genuinely just don't understand the conversation. I have not changed the subject from the original post, or throughout my argument.

. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I don't agree. Not broadcasting public executions is neutral. There is no win if the execution goes forth and we just don't see it
000
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
It seems strange that you can recognise that livestreaming executions contributes to the degradation of civilisation, but not that allowing executions but not allowing them to be streamed, or allowing murders by police, but not murders by judgements also contributes to the normalisation of violence.
100
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
even when nothing else changes, the murders continue, you will say, "at least we didn't see it"? I don't think that's true.
100
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
and you view that as an end in itself?
200
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I don't agree. It is already a spectacle. People watch these videos for fun, they watch them out of morbid curiosity, they see them on social media unprompted. This administration hasn't created that situation, they are just continuing the normalisation, and cutting one step off the end doesn't help
000
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
This administration has been publishing videos of the boat strikes themselves for a year. What genuinely is the difference between those deaths and the death of this man? It's arbitrary, it's meaningless. The damage has been done for years. Preventing them from livestreaming murder changes nothing
100
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
And part of the point here is that this is not novel. People watch others being murdered by the state daily, in the present world that you live in. This has been normalised for years.
200
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
serious question: if you are opposed to the death penalty, why would you rather impose a limit on the livestreaming of this execution, as opposed to the execution itself? Like, you are the one saying that these are separate issues, and making this a dichotomy
310
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
nope
000
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
No it isn't
200
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
If you think the issue is solved if the execution takes place, and it just isn't broadcast live, then we are fundamentally different people
120
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
No, I don't think just not doing that does deal with the issue. Just like removing Trump from office doesn't solve the issues with him as president (as evidenced by that already happening, and being reversed within four years)
110
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
If it's just the tone of the op, then fine. I do still think that "find some similarities" quite diminishes the actual link here though. In my mind, both are allowed and driven by the same sociocultural pressures, and I think that needs to be reckoned with in order to resolve them
040
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Fundamentally, I think basically everyone arguing here has functionally identical views on the matter of the execution and police killings, and it's really the objection to pointing out a link where the semantic games start
000
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Do you think the murder of the people in boats isn't an extension of police killing civilians? Because if you do understand it that way, I don't really get why you don't think this execution is a part of the same thing. They've been publishing the videos of those murders as entertainment as well
3100
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I understand that that's what you believe, but I just don't think that it matters as much you do. The killing continues regardless, and both the rhetoric and killings become more extreme
020
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I agree, and I think this is something that has changed due to an intentional normalisation of state murder.
010
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
idk, I think a lot of shootings by police have been met with direct endorsement of their actions, saying they acted perfectly reasonably (and lawfully), and that it would be terrible if they were punished for doing their jobs (killing people).

Genuine question, feel free to ignore: what are the material differences between renewed institutionalisation of public executions, and the police executing people in the street? I ask this not because I can't see differences, but because I don't consider the differences to be all that material.
120
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I don't think it is abstract, I think it's a straightforward sequence of events. Police kill, people and institutions bend to justify it, people now in power believe it is their job to kill, they signal this by doing it publicly
260
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Obviously the point isn't that this isn't bad, it's that the thing we are pointing out has already been happening for years is the same problem. This is not a secret; if you want to know the answer, you can just actually consider what we're saying
010
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
It is horrific, but it is not an aberration, it has long since been normalised, and it can't be dealt with without dealing with the issues underlying it.
180
. @nbcdy.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I do not think this is a semantic argument; it is a recognition of a pattern: American society glorifies the idea that "criminals" should be killed. The fact that people being murdered in the street on camera for decades is normalised makes this a very obvious move.

Once again, Federal fascism is already here and people aren't "complying in advance," they are simply COMPLYING. Some people got mad when I said in late 2024 that most people are not brave which is why we need collective action. There's strength in numbers. Most people are not brave on their own.

What Derek Chauvin did to George Floyd was a public extrajudicial execution. Keep that in mind when you say we haven't had a public execution since 1936. We have, actually. Many times. They're called police murders.

People should really think more about the fact that the only time trans people get positive media coverage is through the reporting of research, as if trans people only exist as some sort of intellectual curiosity.

Can't believe the argument the media is falling back on is that most British Zionists don't consider themselves to be racist. Most racists don't consider themselves to be racist, they think their ideas are normal and good. This isn't how we define if ideas are racist or not.

🚨BREAKING: The government's own statistics show there was a *record level of terrorism arrests* in the year leading up to June this year. The vast majority of the enormous increase in terrorism arrests are of grandparents, teenagers and everyone in between for peacefully holding placards.
NEW: Home Office stats released today reveal that arrests for “terrorist-related activity” in the year ending June 2026 were up 1,553% on last year and 94% of the arrests (3,630 of 3,867) were linked to showing support for Palestine Action.

Burnham, as expected, fuelling far-right narratives instead of addressing them He knows painting these as "legitimate concerns" will only embolden and legitimise them He knows they are minoritarian but he makes them "the people" He's comfortable for the rest of us can suffer the consequences
Burnham says concerns of women in Piddington about camp for asylum seekers 'understandable'

Q: What would you say to the women of Piddington concerned about having a camp for asylum seeker near their village, or women in other villages with similar concerns?

Burnham replied:

Those concerns are understandable and they have to be addressed in whatever solution is finally agreed.

There were also concerns expressed about the use of hotels and the reason why the nature of accommodation is changing across the country is because a commitment was given to end the use of hotels, and that was what many people were calling for a few years ago.
Burnham says he will be 'relentless' in dealing with small boats, but sidesteps offshore processing question

Q: Would you consider more radical policies, such as sending asylum seekers to a country like Albania to have their claims processed there?

Burnham avoided the question, but stressed there was some evidence that “things are going in the right direction.”

He said he would be “relentless” in addressing this issue.

And he praised what Shabama Mahmood, the home secretary, is doing on this.

She’s got a strong grip on this issue. What we have been doing is working, but more is needed and more will be done.

“It’s not going to improve people’s lives here is it?!” I dunno man I’ve been watched children get murdered for three years straight now, it probably would improve our mental wellbeing if we stopped running cover for the murderers and maybe tried to do something about it

This isn't just a euphemism. This is an actual far right conspiracy, that the left/judeo-bolsheviks are importing all these migrants in secret. And here it is, right out there in a British fascist newspaper. It is beyond past time something was done about this.

even conceding the distorting effects of colorblind discourse post Cold War / apartheid, it's wild how committed people will be to applying this skepticism to periods of history where the commitment to white supremacy was completely explicit

Genuinely don't think it's money, I think it's personal connections. I think he's friends with big Israel boosters, and he wants to stay friends with them. That's a much stronger motivator for most people, and I don't think he'd be taking such an obviously unpopular stance if it was about money

I think the answer is that he is not pro israel, but is friends with famous people who are, and he doesn't want to alienate them. And I think part of the reason he's going this direction is because his friends, like macklemore, who are pro palestine probably don't care about his mealy mouthed stance
