5 years ago today I went out dressed as a woman for the first time. (I had my therapist take the picture. :) I shared the event and photo on twitter and it went minorly viral (1000+ shares and lots of congrats), but the most touching reply was someone who sent me a drawing commemorating it!
A woman with long gray hair, wearing a black mask, white blouse, black skirt, and black shoes, poses for a photo. Their skirt is caught on a couch, which makes it flare out like it was an action photo.A drawing of a woman with long, gray hair wearing a white blouse, dark skirt, and black shoes, standing against a plain gray background.

Traveling with Aranet CO2 meter from sea level to 6000 feet can be amusing to watch on the PSI graph.
The graph shows a psi of about 14.7 up until it gets on the plane (in cargo). Then it drops to below 11.5. It bounces around a bit, but when we arrive it settles down to around 11.6.

This has got to be the most cynical use of "we are also excited to share" I have ever read.
Email excerpt:

Beginning November 2, 2026, the current version of SkipMode, using the Skip Button on your TiVo remote, will no longer be available. You will still be able to skip commercials manually using the 30-second skip (→|) and Fast Forward (••) buttons on your remote.

We are also excited to share that in November we will be testing a new Premium Auto Commercial Skip add-on service. You'll have the opportunity to try the service for free for 30 days and decide if it is right for you. After the 30-day trial period, you will have the option to opt in and add it to your TiVo account for an additional monthly fee.

# Euforia

En los oscuros días antes,
‌ ‌ quería estar conforme.
Alegría era lejana,
‌ ‌ tan fuera de mi alcance.

En aquellos días brumosos,
‌ ‌ las ansias aumentaban.
No tenía la paz del alma,
‌ ‌ las preguntas me llenaban.

Hasta que me troné como un huevo.

En los luminosos días tras,
‌ ‌ el júbilo me encuentra.
El gozo quita las ansias,
‌ ‌ colma mi alma con la luz.

En los más claros días después,
‌ ‌ hay amigxs del corazón.
Ya no busco satisfacción,
‌ ‌ mi vida es euforia.

There seem to be some font rendering issues, but so far so good. I'm very curious if the “Tell me what I can cook given what I have" algorithm still works.
Page of a cookbook with text about its origins, dedication, and a decorative border with pixel art icons at the top.

The heart of these recipes come from a single source; that being a cookbook compiled by Beatrice Greene Rowe for her niece Priscilla Salisbury Hinckley in 1960, shortly after she had married. A few additional recipes were garnered from church supper cookbooks, family scrapbooks and other similar sources.
Insotar as possible the following pages duplicate the introduction to the original cookbook that she compiled. we hope they add to your enjoyment of this cookbook.
I would like to dedicate this cookbook to my Great Aunt Bea, who continues to collect recipes in Rhode Island and whose dining room I still look forward to with unparalleled anticipation.

Kagi: Error: The use of the indicative "coma" after "no creo que" is incorrect; it should be the subjunctive "coma". Oh wait, "coma" is the subjunctive form of "comer". There are no grammatical errors in the source text.

I don't think José eats taquitos.

I think this is probably the least helpful Siri response I have ever gotten.
A screenshot of Siri responding to my question "hey Siri translate question mark into Spanish".
Except of course it turned "question mark" into a literal "?". And then helpfully told me that "?" In English is translated to "?" In Spanish.

And my apologies to anyone who is visually impaired and reading this description. Because I would imagine it's going to be just as confusing as Siri's response was to me.
