I’ve lost my third grandparent this year and I’m really sad and really tired but more than that I’m thankful I had loving, supportive, wise grandparents for as long as I got to have them. I really hate ComEd. My mortal enemy since childhood.

I’m not sure everyone hates it, but it’s at best remembered as middling. The Brothers Bloom hit me at just the right time in my life. It’s extraordinarily pretty. The acting, especially the sibling dynamic, really hit home. Nathan Johnson’s backyard orchestra score is one of the best of the 2000s.

Finally able to locate a generator, got it running, got the fridge set up, made sure the sump pump was working, ran a line to my work setup. Long fuckin day, really stressful. Took a shower and came back to a flooded basement because one the fuse tripped the moment I wasn’t there. Big cry. Tired.
