please can we standardize this already 🙏 1p isn't even in the brawl here, sometimes there are 3 or more of these.

Is the Safari team doing some sort of social experiment? "What happens if we make Safari completely unusable for everyone?" Design crimes.

Got to talk at @aidotengineer.bsky.social conf last week about the need for collaborative AI engineering. All our current coding agents are single player. We're trying to scale up individual productivity, but creating tons of alignment problems in the process. We have no good tools for...
Title slide saying "One Developer, Two Dozen Agents, Zero Alignment Why we Need Collaborative AI Engineering"Slide saying "Alignment and communication is the new bottleneck"Slide saying "Human context is not in the codebase"

Business context & financial resources, Political dynamics, Product vision, User research insights, and Organisational history are not in the codebase.

Putting together the final touches on slides for my talk at AI Engineer conf this Thursday @aidotengineer.bsky.social Talking about how we need realtime, multiplayer, collaborative agentic dev tools. Not isolated, single player terminal instances. And showing one we've built at @githubnext.com!
Title slide: One Developer, Two Dozen Agents, Zero Alignment: Why we Need Collaborative AI EngineeringThe meme of two astronauts looking at earth. The one behind has a gun pointed at the other's head. First says "wait, alignment is the bottleneck?". Second says "always has been"

Zeta2 is here. 30% better acceptance rate than Zeta1. 200x more training data, LSP-powered context, faster predictions, open weights. Try it now in Zed. We didn't just improve the model. We rebuilt the entire data pipeline behind it: zed.dev/blog/zeta2

I think the most pragmatic thing people can do, if they're being mandated to use LLMs, is to unionise. If by some miracle the bubble doesn't burst, there will still likely be lots of layoffs so get protecting yourself and your colleagues. @ethanmarcotte.com has got the blueprint for you here.

I've started building out an internal API for luna for debugging and hopefully in the future, scripting. Sort of in love with this idea, making everything in the app doable over api means we can have a playwrite-like api for testing, agents can use the api to test changes, users can write actions...

I’d like to understand how apple’s dictation could regress so drastically in just 3 years. I used to be able to use it reliably, now it can barely make it through a sentence without major mistakes 😩

Did anyone ever write a little memento/recognition of room-like user interfaces? In my head it‘s nice, interactive, and very fun. Like a videogame where you switch between worlds. Microsoft Bob and Magic Cap are the most popular, but there is a long tail of those in other shells and videogames.
