i don't know how to inform the system's friends that we all keep tabs on them and everyone in the system knows all of their business all of the time as long as it's been shared publicly because we make sure we know. you're being seen even if we don't always have the space to respond.

i saw this poignant thread on "persecutors" that aligns with how i feel about the term as systems often use it. you are not uniquely incapable of harm and there isn't a special kind of headmate predisposed to it. there's just complexities.
