on a more positive note, to mitigate curmudgeon posting… a guy that sells you information on the upcoming dungeon is perfect. Such a good idea that im wonder if they always did that and I never noticed. Building foreknowledge of the enemy into the game design encourages strategy. Good stuff!!!

Quite pleased to have finally read this one, i think i see why it’s a common first Discworld recommendation. Feels like im really in the thick of it now. Not quite a new favorite I don’t think, but certainly high tier. I greatly look forward to any future scenes between Vimes and Vetinari

one of my loan repayment services has a thing where if you don’t log in for 3 months it deletes your account. But with automatic bill paying, which they obviously strongly encourage, there’s no reason to log in. Just annoying and so unnecessary. Surely making a payment should count as activity

Good game! Very nice to spend a little more time and gain a little more context for all of these characters. It’s an all banger cast, there’s not really anybody I don’t get excited to see more of. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the characters who got the spotlight for a bit.

in lighter news i plan to finish kevin game this evening which will wrap up the sky trilogy for me. scary

I actually think the title and cover might be doing this one a disservice? Theres an aspect of detached corporate parody, but it feels more like set dressing for the Real Shit which is like what does it mean to be human? can you truly love an object, and is that an ethical feeling?
