NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 27/08/2026it did not work in the end :( i may have deleted most of the client to get it this far… and poked the editor to compile C#7 on 2018… and modded the vita to crawl hung threads, log to disk, and bypass permissions to fix GC… and had PC backport bundles on the fly & proxy net traffic… was fun though 100
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 17/08/2026it’s a gradient mixing your player colors :D pretty sure it only looks low res cause of bsky, there’s no masking or textures at all, as this is entirely mesh with vertex colors to avoid transparently/stencil issues 000
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 13/08/2026They are still on our roadmap with the mobile builds kept up-to-date for those in the testing groups. We cannot focus on them without a lot of groundwork handled first. GS2, serverside bundle processing, and WASM are a few technical blockers which are in-progress. chilloutvr.net/blog/status_... 010
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 28/06/2026went to fix one issue and by doing so inherently addressed 5 or so others loosely related from my todo list while also making things less of a clusterfuck overall very cool 130

NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 17/05/2026finally did something with the domain i grabbed a year ago even though its just a linktree-like site, im really happy with how it turned out (it’s very unique and special) nakos.devnakos.devNotAKidoS Profilei have an addition 110
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 08/04/2026 I’ve personally found solace talking to Dooly a few times, hearing from VRC devs indirectly through the grapevine, and reading posts like yours. Understanding that these sort of things are everywhere helped these things not get to me as much and prioritize what feedback I expose myself to. 000
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 08/04/2026I wish someone warned me about how much stuff like this would wear you down over time. I definitely am a much more bitter person nowadays.. The social/community part of deving something you’re so passionate about is easily what makes and breaks it- and sadly what can end up as a negative over time. 100
Reposted by NotAKidoSFrooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 08/04/2026I just end up increasingly more and more stressed, because now I'm several times over the 5 minute deadline to fix it, making it harder to focus on the fix. So please, if you think about saying this, don't. It does more harm than good - problems are often more complex than they seem on the surface. 6375
Reposted by NotAKidoSFrooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 08/04/2026"It just takes 5 minutes to fix this, why haven't you done it already?" is one of the most motivation and sanity draining things I hear some people say. So many times I would get into seemingly quick fix, only to spend hours going down a complex rabbit hole. (continuing) 8567
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 07/04/2026I am curious, where did you read that Windows Secure Boot certificate expiration would cause older unity games to no longer work? It is very wrong information. Using any ounce of critical thinking, if such was occurring, millions of applications would be breaking. That would be news worthy. 100
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 06/04/2026the only world that worked flawlessly happened to be one dedicated to 1001, which is actually so cool considering pema made this tool because of 1001s treehouse in VRC this was a fun experiment 000

NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 06/04/2026i was bored a week ago or so and hooked up pemas EpicFixShader to asset load to see what would happen (and hooked up a familiar loading screen by loading a bundle from an old VRC mod git repo at runtime :)) github.com/pema99/EpicF... 110
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 19/03/2026Modern worlds tend to expose PP toggles/profiles as in-world settings anyways which to me seems like a much better solution than global toggles handled by CVR. The game just can’t handle the granularity or take into account artistic intent (and could break gameplay fx like dimming the screen). 010
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 19/03/2026The effects are enabled by default, but there was a bug which forced disabled effects within the profile to be enabled until last Nightly. Fixing this now means existing worlds likely visually changed… and anyone who disabled pp cause one world looked off applying to all worlds just makes it worse 100
NotAKidoS @nak.koneko.cat · 19/03/2026stealing a line from my steam review: “Personally, I describe it as ‘the sandbox platform where the user has full control over their experience’. though I see that being detrimental to creators and the platform overall.” theres a balance to be struck, but i feel CVR misses it in a lot of places 000
