Absolutely! we found misregulation of the senescence genes NYC1 and SGR1, and we are currently exploring autophagy-related germination phenotypes that may further expand ABI5 functions.

7/7 💡 Our results identify NBR1-mediated degradation of ABI5 as a temperature-dependent mechanism that restrains ABA-associated susceptibility to maintain immunity under warming 📷Working model below ⬇️ 🌱Comments and feedback are very welcome! Great teamwork from everyone ! 😊

6/7 🧬 Loss of ABI5 largely suppresses the increased susceptibility of nbr1 mutants, whereas ABI5 overexpression enhances bacterial susceptibility.

5/7 🔬 NBR1 physically associates with the ABA-responsive transcription factor ABI5 and promotes its autophagy-dependent degradation. Infection under warm temperatures induce ABI5 turnover, leading to its accumulation in nbr1 and atg5 plants.

4/7 ⚖️ Surprisingly, salicylic acid signaling was largely unaffected. Instead, NBR1 negatively regulates ABA-associated responses during infection.

3/7 🍃 We found that bacterial infection under warm conditions enhances autophagy and promotes NBR1 turnover. Both core autophagy and NBR1-mediated selective autophagy contribute to bacterial resistance.

2/7 🔥 Elevated temperatures increase plant susceptibility to bacterial pathogens, but the mechanisms linking temperature, hormone signaling, and immunity remain poorly understood.
