Sitting outside in the spring sunshine. Lucky the neighbours are away so they can’t hear the coughing. This flower cheered me up with its vibrant colours & there’s even some seeds to collect and replant.

This is beyond comprehension. Data centres were supposed to be using their own renewable resources- not diesel at a heavily subsidised rate when farmers and supply chains that take the produce to market are feeling the brunt of the price hikes.

Not happy with supermarket shenanigans- a 2.3kg chicken had at least the .3kg in “moisture infusion” frozen in its cavity. In the old days butchers were called out for these dodgy practices.just like putting the finger on the scale. Might be time to shift back to butchers.

Back in the day when I had the sidecar on the R60/5 BMW. Occasionally I'd take the kids to school in the sidecar when I felt like the gossips needed to be stirred up a bit. 😁 The time I rode to the girls grammar school where I taught there were even more interesting reactions.

I don’t do sourdough boules. I bake a long fermented loaf in a sandwich tin. In the fridge overnight, stretches when needed, into the baking tin (back into the fridge if baking time doesn’t suit for extra time) , then ice cubes in a second pan and bake.

A tiny pop of colour as we move into spring.A small delicate flower which Apple plant ID suggests to look up onion grass. Putin the paddock the cockatoos like to dig up its bulb for a feed. That helps to open up the ground and let the rain soak in a little deeper.

The RBA has looked away from the obscene profits the supermarket duopoly have just posted. “Nothing to look at here” by them in response to the price gouging study. If food prices were more affordable,then wages would be better able to cope with cost of living.

Miss the antics of the Magpie chicks when the parents dropped them off to play in the flower pots on the deck. Slowly making friends with the Magpie family at the new place and was rewarded with songs at the front door the other day 💕

Another solar addition to the retreat. Son did say that he thought the pyramid could’ve been used over the fire pit for cooking purposes.

Repurposed - 2 of the legs were used to create a pyramid and a solar light ball hung in the middle. In the background a “moon gate “ made from the base, another leg attached and buried deeply to stabilise the structure and solar lights to illuminate it.
