A Dublin #painting. "Heuston II" was painted back when I used to hang around the bridge for the views up the river and the sense of space by the station. I still get a thrill every time I pass through the space even if I don't get as many opportunities to spend time there. #Art #SpéirGhorm #ArtYear

Landscape format in painterly acrylics on canvas. A painting of two halves, the bright top half of the sky and a dark bottom half of the bridge, street and buildings. At the bottom of the picture tram tracks in navy and blues leave a bridge continuing straight ahead to a street which disappears in the the distance in the centre of the painting. Most of the scene is open space just off bridge in front of railway station, with bridge lamp and stone pier on right in lilac, blue and navy, and station behind it in navy but for pale slits of windows. Just past the station to its left is a chocolate coloured wide 3-story building with a dark blue roof and a pale cupola on its left corner. A clump of trees is in middle distance on left, rendered in very dark blue with dark olive tops. Straight ahead the centre are muted reds and greys in strokes indicating distant buildings. The scene is all under tram wires crisscrossing against a yellow painterly sky, the only other item which pierces it being the lamp rising on the right from the bridge pier. I took this photo of the painting before I signed it.
