As someone whose first metal band was Metallica I have this to say: Fuck you James, you built a career on songs with political messages of every flavour, but now you're saying others shouldn't? Go fuck yourself you grade-A hypocrite.

It's by no means as cut and dry as this. Random encounters can be a massive time sink, and also a problem in certain games. I gave up on Pathfinder: Kingmaker because I failed a time-sensitive major questline, and this was because I was constantly having to rest between every random fight.

In an hour we'll be giving 2 games a whirl. For the first ½ we'll be playing indie library management Monk Took Book (game key courtesy of @nerdershewrote.bsky.social), and for the second ½ we'll be continuing our investigations in Adventures of Bertram Fiddle Episode 1: twitch.tv/musicgeekery

And here we have one of the primary reasons why for years I've been saying we are overdue another video games crash. No matter how much profit they make, they will repeatedly lay off employees, and eventually it'll be one bloke in a boiler suit pressing a button to churn out AI slop.

It occurs to me that when I get properly done with my fantasy setting and ready for publishing as an actual game, there's gonna be a lot of examples of "Early edition weirdness". #fantasy #writing #rpg #worldbuilding

At the rate I'm going I'm gonna have to compile a list of streamers to not fuck with. So far: Mendarii - perfectly okay with the scummy business practices surrounding D&D SethDrums - plays along with AI "music" iDelia - will block and ban you for voicing your concerns with other streamers

Personal opinion, but if you are an artist and you support AI music, you're a piece of shit...actually no, scratch that, if you support AI music regardless of your walk of life you're a piece of shit, but if you're an artist who does, you're also worthless at your job. #fuckAI

Just as a heads up to those of you who care, @littlepinksquid.gay I'm sure you'd want to warn your community outside of the discord, but the streamer screenshotted is perfectly fine with playing along with AI music, and when you point out the music is AI he'll say "You must be new here": #fuckAI
