Quick gamedev and general life update, shared from my Discord. 2026 is the year of Signy and Mino!

Happy (belated) New Year @everyone !
Thanks for sticking around for another year of drip-feed updates here at AN Productions :gnome:

I didn’t quite adhere to my monthly update schedule for Signy and Mino but when the finish line is in sight it makes you want to work more and talk less. I'm pretty confident in saying the game is 95% complete. It’s really just a matter of finishing the final boss + ending cutscene, along with some sound design and general polish. It will launch in 2026, of that I am sure. Our second trailer is almost finished, so look for that in the upcoming months!

If I'm being honest though, 2024-2025 has been a rough period for the game. Our wishlist count has never been very high (relatively speaking) for the amount of time and effort that has been put into the game. I’ll cover that more in a future write up, but tldr that’s just the gamedev business 🤷‍♂️
Rest assured however we’ll give the game a solid marketing push in the lead up to launch. I didn't come this far to stop short at the end. I'm hoping to get some good coverage in Steam's June Next Fest, along with any other festivals/collections we can snag a spot in. :signy: :mino:

Quick side note: my second child was born in 2025! Now I get to be a proud dad x2 💟
But my work schedule did take a hit, including my ability to write updates (hence the new year's update on Jan 2 🤫)

Now, I know I’ve teased a new Soda Dungeon prototype a few times so I won’t elaborate other than to say that the groundwork for SD3 exists and I will most likely start it after we launch Signy & Mino. :soda_1:

Lastly, I just want to say that I always enjoy the slow trickle of Territory War players discovering that the game can still be played and having a quick nostalgia trip. Now if only all of them were online at the same time 🤔

Here's to positive vibes for the 2026; exciting updates are coming down the pipeline very soon
