Why was -datacarriersize redefined in 2022, and why was the 2023 proposal to expand it not merged?
In 2014, Bitcoin Core introduced OP_RETURN with an 80-byte default cap, enforced through the -datacarriersize option. This was intended to allow small data (such as proofs or certificates) while

Why would forbidding `OP_IF` in Tapscript be a problem?
Following up from Is it a bug that OP_IF is part of the Tapscript opcodes?: BIP110 proposes to forbid OP_IF and OP_NOTIF in leaf scripts. However, old UTXOs are grandfathered in, so the new rules w...

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

I'm a big fan of not calling people criminals before they're convicted. I hope that all suspected criminals get due process, so when non-criminals get falsely accused they are identified as innocent. I also don't want anyone to get abducted and tortured, so I find your supposed position rather sick.
