It makes me really sad that regular Uncanny X-Men covers doesn’t have Monet & Pietro as leaders. Monet is the first Arab & Muslim leader, first Black woman to lead since Storm. Pietro is the first Romani Jew to lead. Them leading & being in a relationship is monumental.

I like how Orlando writes Pietro (except when it comes to the whole HoM thing) He really understands Pietro's growth and the QuickMoney relationship which builds up on what Duggan established - that Pietro and Monet absolutely trust the others ability and it makes Pietro's writing in UXM jarring

I can enjoy Crystal in Pietro’s life despite her horrible abuse, parental alienation, all other issues when the story accepts those aspects as part of her & their romance is in the past, but Vision in Wanda’s stories keeps her anchored to the past as he’s her only “true love” like babygirl move on!

I hate how ppl blame Pietro for the events of Decimation. His sister is his soulmate & he was desperate to save her. His actions are NOT equal to Magneto’s imo. Magneto straight up killed him which caused Wanda to retaliate.

He was such a source of great conflict during my formative Englehart-Avengers days that I loved what he brought to the table. I rarely got to write him in mainstream MU, but I wrote a more stable, heroic version in AoA. I feel once Peter David showed us WHY, then it was easier to continue with HOW.

I felt the same way. When I wrote Pietro in Uncanny Avengers he made every scene more entertaining. Always cutting and harsh, but also incredibly skilled. He's deeply emotional, constantly displeased with the world at large and even more displeased with his inability to change it.

Pietro pmo but I’m sure I’m more sensitive bc I’m in so much pain today. Out of all of them, he along with Wanda were abused for YEARS for being mutants.
