Well, there’s a story.

When Nazi Germany invaded Denmark in World War II, the Hungarian chemist George de Hevesy dissolved the gold Nobel Prizes of Max von Laue and James Franck in aqua regia to prevent the Nazis from stealing them. He placed the resulting solution on a shelf in his laboratory at the Niels Bohr Institute. After the war, he returned to find the solution undisturbed and precipitated the gold out of the acid. The Nobel Society then recast the Nobel Prizes using the original gold.

Day 7 of this bloody awful cough/cold. Yesterday, I could barely breathe and I contacted GP. I was told to complete an online triage form and then received word they would get back to me within 2 days. Phone call this morning at 8.15. The doc asked me about breathing. I said 'yes, I am.'

I've discovered that I'm a lady of a certain age. Sitting with my husband last night and he started kissing me arm, said that I smelled nice and it reminded him of that lovely old lady scent, like talc!!! So, apparently I now smell like a grandma. I'm 63. Goodness, I didn't feel that old 😂

Well, that didn't last long. Drip, drip, drip and whoosh as the snow escapes from my roof and wallops onto the ground! The trees are dripping everywhere and it's all I can here from outside. Sun is out and it's a beautiful winter's day! Apparently, Storm Bert is arriving tomorrow. Not so nice!
