Yes, I would like to track both temperature and humidity at either side of the system later on. For now, the fan will simply be set to switch on at a certain temp (measured at the top under the roof where the air will be sucked in), fan speed will increase as temperatures rise. Will post updates

Finally got the first seeds for some winter greens into the ground in our new greenhouse🌱 The clay soil is super compacted from all the earthworks, did not receive any water for months. Will water thoroughly, then add tons of woodchips+straw+manure+compost before trying a broadfork. Other ideas? 🤔

Nice harvest. I would recommend to dry/cure them in a shaded, well-ventilated place rather than in direct sunlight. The heat can "cook" the bulbs, cause sunscald, crack the outer skins, all of which can ruin their storage life.

We lack the sunshine that would allow year-round tropical farming in a (well-insulated) geothermal greenhouse. On the other hand, our winters are usually quite mild. The few exceptionally cold nights (very rarely down to -15°C) are accompanied by bright, sunny weather which heats up the system. 9/

On the opposite site, cooler air is released during the day. At night, the system operates the other way round: the stored heat from the day is slowly released to keep the greenhouse warm. For us, it's all experimental physics so far but I am confident this should work pretty well in our climate 8/

We dug 10 trenches (starting at ~1,20m depth with a slope down to ~1,60m) through which we laid drainage pipes (16cm Ø) that run across the whole length of the greenhouse. The hot, moist air of the day will be sucked into these pipes from under the roof by a ventilator through a 25cm Ø pipe. 6/
