I would argue we're further along, and closer to 1940 in the comparison. We already had a LOT of detention facilities in 2019, and now systems and leadership excuse deaths and illnesses at these places, and we have > 30 state-sanctioned shootings in and around these camps. #fightfacism

I agree. Working on a new report on this right now. What happened in Atlanta today is significantly worse than it even appears on the surface.
