Last week I had the opportunity to attend the annual conference for the Knowles Teacher Initiative in Atlanta.Every year, this conference feels a little like coming home. It’s a chance to reconnect with a community of educators who continue to challenge, encourage, and inspire me. There are very few spaces where I leave feeling this energized.This community has had a profound impact on my growth as an educator. The opportunities I’ve had through @knowlesteachers have shaped not only how I teach, but how I think about leadership, professional learning, and contributing to our profession.This year I had the chance to facilitate a session with fellow Senior Fellows on professional learning, present a poster session, lead a conference session, and spend time planning the work we’ll take on together this year. I left energized, challenged, and excited for what’s ahead.To everyone who makes this community what it is, thank you.And one more exciting thing… next year’s conference is in Austin! If you’re already part of the Knowles community, I hope I’ll see you there.If you’re an early-career high school math or science teacher, I hope you’ll consider applying to become a Knowles Teaching Fellow.
