Concert, on a school night.
Two smiling men pose in front of a large guitar pick-shaped sign that reads “EMPIRE OF THE SUN 2026.” The man on the left wears a gray striped shirt, black knit hat, and sunglasses, holding a can of Cali Seltzer. The man on the right wears a red and black gradient T-shirt and holds a can of Kona Island Seltzer. A tree and stage equipment can be seen in the background.

A new in box 33.6Kbps modem was left on my desk. So if anyone needs to get on the BBS we can.
A close-up photo of a blue product box with multiple stickers. A yellow and blue oval sticker prominently reads “Now with 33.6K bps!” in playful, bold yellow text. Below it is a small printed number “87000255.” To the right, a white rectangular sticker with a red circle logo reads “Lucent Technologies — Technology provided by microelectronics group.” In the background, there are two shipping labels with barcodes and text, partially visible.

A yellow and red tram travels through a city intersection surrounded by trees and modern buildings. A Chanel advertisement featuring a woman's face is visible on a tall glass building in the background. There is a pedestrian crosswalk and a bent white post in the foreground, while traffic lights and a blue handicapped parking sign are also present along the street.

Finally got my old Kindle into a HomeAssistant dashboard using tesserae.ink Now I just need to find a way to display it nicely.
A Kindle e-reader is displaying a weather app showing the current weather in South Jordan. The screen shows it is 84°F, clear, and feels like 78°F, with 29% humidity and 15.2 mph winds. The high for today is 93°F, and the low is 58°F. A temperature graph for the day is visible below the forecast. The Kindle is on a desk, with part of a laptop, a small black and orange speaker, and a green frog-shaped object in the background. A butterfly sticker is on the top right corner of the Kindle.

Pepperidge Farms remembers when giving people money (or doing anything at all to help them) was blasted as being inflationary and an affront to the altar of capitalism. But somehow driving the price of diesel, which underpins everything in a consumer’s life, to $6 is NBD.

Put a dash of cardamom bitters in my coffee this morning.
A woman wearing a white sweater, denim pants with more fabric on the leg than knees, and in an Apple picking hat. She’s sitting on a bench enjoying a crisp autumn breeze tossing leaves around. The background has a tree with autumn leaves, a white picket fence, and assorted cars on the street. She’s living her best autumnal life.

A red-themed trip report showing a route from SLC to South Jordan Parkway Station on a map. The trip occurred from 14:23 to 15:25, covering 18.6 miles in 1 hour 2 minutes with an average speed of 24 mph. A fire icon with a masked driver appears mid-route with a label reading "105 MPH." Coordinates 40.7636, -111.8905 are displayed under the South Jordan Parkway Station label.

Well that clocked me
A U.S. dialect map showing which regions of the country speak most like the user. Red areas indicate regions that talk more like the user, while blue areas indicate regions that talk least like the user. The western U.S., especially Utah, is deep red, indicating the strongest match. The central and southern U.S., including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, are dark blue, showing the least similarity. The map notes that the user talks most like someone from Utah, with 49% of answers matching a typical resident. At the bottom is a color scale from blue (least like you) to red (most like you) and the URL "https://mydialect.us".

Summer monsoon storm at the baseball field. At least we’re under the canopy.
A panoramic view of a baseball stadium shows a game in progress under a dramatic sky with a full rainbow arching over the field. Spectators fill the stands, with the infield and outfield clearly visible. Beyond the stadium, a backdrop of mountains stretches across the horizon, partially lit by the evening sun, while clouds hint at recent rain. The scoreboard and surrounding buildings frame the vibrant scene.
