Apropos of nothing: Growing up in Bakersfield in the 1970s/early 1980s, country music was ubiquitous. I definitely turned to defining my tastes as “not that” (heavy metal and punk) when beginning my mild form of youthful rebellion. Still just isn’t my thing.

The base problem with the “AI-based economy” is the same base problem as nearly all speculative bubbles: Big finance’s inability to be satisfied with consistent, unspectacular returns in the pursuit of theoretical gigantic returns which, if unrealized, becomes *everyone’s* problem.
