I've personally never been bothered by these "ads" when a major new first party game releases. But when I've literally been playing the game in question for an entire week, and the console knows this, it is so dumb to show this at all.

So it is actually not the wireless headset at all. This still happens with any headphones I try - even directly wired to the controller. I can watch videos fine and play most games fine, but demanding games like Gears E-Day stutters the audio like hell no matter what headphones I'm using..

Dude, this is genuinely so fucking disappointing. Nearly all of the commits I’ve seen for PPSSPP involve generative AI from Claude in the past week alone, and their entire newest dev blog is almost entirely written by Claude. Almost half of the commits in the past 3 months use Claude for AI code.

I'm convinced there's no game that looks better than this. Gears E-Day easily has the most consistent, solid, beautiful visuals of any game this gen. The environment detail is insane. The characters are stunning. DOOM: Dark Ages is the only thing that comes close.

Switch to another game and it's perfectly fine. Switch back to Gears, constant stuttering. Reboot console and launch Gears again, perfect audio again. The headset software is abysmal.

The official Xbox wireless headset still has the awful stuttering issue when launching/resuming demanding games. Still even randomly disconnects controllers when glitching too. It's a shame cause it's a great headset when it works. In Gears E-Day I have to reboot the console for smooth audio.

Fun build! Wallace has a cheese board hidden in his belly, and Gromit has a bone in his. Completely pointless and can never be seen, but made me chuckle. Also a hidden teacup and teaspoons make part of the engine, cool details.

I'm only about an hour into the E-Day campaign so far but I'm having a lot of fun with it. It does the whole "Day Zero" thing very well. Also these might be the best graphics of the current generation, it looks astonishingly good.
