We don’t do the E*f on the S***f thing (can’t cope!) but have another advent tradition instead: I put a note in this each day with a fun Christmassy thing to do/find. It allows me to do stuff we already have planned (eg go to school Christmas fair) but also cop out and do chocolate if I forget!

One of the best ‘hacks’ I’ve ever been given was for working in the early years when observing chn: simply to use the phrase ‘I wonder’ to prompt. It’s working brilliantly with my 4yo too - such a simple way to get them to extend their play. Would love to hear your best teacher phrases #EduSky
