Few clarifications for the UTC of it all: - Still teaching GCSEs, A Levels, etc., same as any other school - Teacher pay scale, pension and burgundy book - We don’t have a catchment area, but recruit pupils from all over the local area for our specialisms (engineering and health/life sciences)

I applied to get on the #GTCS register to teach in my home country.. head home when HWP illness takes over. It seems everything I am in England doesn’t count up north. Their loss! I know I don’t have a maths degree but…I have a 1st BA #teaching and #learning degree!! . #mathsteacher

In #mathstoday I had a TA with my year 7 class!!!! ..and the students smashed collecting like terms. @studymaths.bsky.social algebra disks were a huge hit with a student who struggles to stay still…he was using the main interactive board whilst the others used their iPads.
