Mine saved my life as well, but I didn't name it and I was able to have it reversed 3 years later. It definitely changed me, having nearly died made me euphoric for a long time. Nothing bothered me any more because I wasn't dead! After my reversal that feeling has gone and in many ways I wish

Definitely recommend The Rivers Of London series by @benaaronovitch.bsky.social fabulous series of books involving magic with off shoots into other countries and time periods. There's even graphic novels that slot into the series although I haven't read them.

In my school as a child it was dab but between my children's schools and the ones I have worked in it has been dib, dab, tag, tig but never it. Not sure what means but I've covered most bases.

After an awful day yesterday where I had to evacuate my class due to a new child's behaviour, today was a great day! Went to yoga and was able to do moves I haven't done before, my 2 children under my roof for the first time since May and now we're watching Ted Lasso. Hope your day was as good!!!

I'm at my first ever ice hockey game, Nottingham vs Cardiff. Apparently im not allowed to support Cardiff but it doesn't really matter as I don't have a clue what's going on! The teacher in me was shocked at the fighting and the referees just watching on! Crazy 😄😄😄🏒🏒🏒

If it makes you feel any better the UK is very similar. I teach 10 year olds and the kids coming up to us in the next few years have many diagnosis and issues. There is very little money at the moment and the situation is getting worse each year....

When you are feeling up to it can you be a volunteer and cheer on others? Before you know it you will be back running (says she that never has, before during or after!) Right now you are probably riding on the euphoric high of survival, keep that going for as long as you can.

My welsh accent absolutely got thrashed when I started teaching phonics in Sussex. I had to pause and form each phoneme their way otherwise these kids just stared at me. Now I'm in Nottingham and my accent is all over the place. Luckily I teach KS2 so pronunciation isn't *quite* as important.
