Here Ss are reading a short passage and then constructing their own ending to the story using #Legos . Then had Ss give an oral presentation describing their build/ending. Alt, there’s a template that lets Ss write/type their description. Templates & more in my new book #BrickByBrickLearning

So if I could create my own land at Disney it would be DuckTales themed! This is part of the Theme Park Project I’m designing for my STEAM class and why we need your empty cereal boxes! Students will get to design their own theme park and create a diorama similar to mine. #STEAM #EduSky #Disney

I’m literally planning lessons for upcoming classes where students will design their own theme park, with the help of an awesome program offered by Disney! It’s literally on my schedule tomorrow, imagineering research! Love this job! @meehanedu.bsky.social @mrmatera.bsky.social #STEAM

2025 for me is about growth and taking risk. I have two speaking engagements this year already as a guest educator. Last night I submitted a proposal for an education book to a publisher. I applied for summer positions to teach at two different universities. Here. We. Go.. #EduSky #LEGO

Slowly but surely, 4th grade LEGO Team is knocking it out of the park! Students were given a map and then I place LEGO mines in their path making them measure angles, rotations, cm’s, and time to weave their way to safety! Way to go! I’m so proud of your work effort! #STEAM #EduSky #LEGO

Did you know the A in STEAM stands for Art? Design and Art principles is part of our focus in STEAM not just robotics. Today we learned about stencils to help us design winter holiday art work! #STEAM #EduSky

Sometimes lessons don’t go the way you planned and you have to pivot. However, it was well worth the detour to see this student find success, engagement and wee bit of fun. A single moment can turn a day right side up, and this was it for me today! #STEAM #EduSky

Getting to work with robots is fun and exciting, no doubt. But it’s so much more than play. Students are learning problem solving strategies that will help them in any class! These are called computational thinking! Loops, rectangles, decomposition oh my! #STEAM

In my limited experience, it’s just a non starter, when it comes to teacher use or student use. It feels like we’re hiding from it in favor of harping on something like rigor.
