Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Nope... not an endorsement. Just using Musk (worlds richest man, prominent fascist's) website as default. You know... making him money, generating traffic on his site. Not endorsement perhaps but its bizarre to me that she wouldn't boycott it? 010
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Now that you have been elected, @leftiestats.bsky.social, would you care to dissavow this tweet? If not, why not? If yes, why is it still on your wall? Can you understand why using that language has caused such outrage? Or are you happy its garnered a lot of impressions? 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 24/08/2026She may have unpinned the tweet but its still there. @zackpolanski.bsky.social do you agree with your Green Party colleague that the USA is the Great Satan? Do you think using the phrase 'bloodthirsty Zionist entity' will improve or worsen division in this country? 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Any comment on this? @zackpolanski.bsky.social @leftiestats.bsky.social @greenparty.org.uk It seems wildly inappropriate for a Green Party official to use that language of the antisemtic, misogynistic Iranian regime. I also think Trumps war is illegal and believe in a Free Palestine by the way. 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 19/08/2026The Greens can't be a mainstream party of the UK left if they allow people like Stats for Lefties to be part of it. @greenparty.org.uk @zackpolanski.bsky.social any comment on this? Do you agree or disagree with the pinned tweet? What do you think it says about the party that she was elected? 010
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 19/08/2026It is absolutely WILD that the tweet directly beneath this is her announcing she was elected to the @greenparty.org.uk 's governing council. This is exactly the kind of thing that stops the Greens from becoming that mainstream party that they could have. Shame. 100

Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Cooper is probably another possibility. I think she could do the job well. I think Healey is probably the stronger choice but I wouldn't be at all upset at Cooper. 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Mahmoud, I think, is another unlikely possibility. Burnham probably benefits from keeping her in the Home Office as she is succeeding in bringing down migration, which is part of the countering Reform strategy. Hopefully this comes with a watering down of the changes to ILR for those already here 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Miliband scares the markets too much. I wouldn't be shocked if the briefing about him has come from Burnham's team so that he seems more moderate when he appoints someone else. I also think Miliband likes his brief and I imagine he'll want to see it through. 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 22/06/2026Loyal and technocratic. No prime ministerial ambitions. Serious. He also resigned from Starmers government on the basis of the PM not putting enough money into defence - appointing him Chancellor sends a very strong signal 400
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 22/06/2026I'm sure Wes Streeting is briefing he will be Chancellor but I'm struggling to see it. He is not just politically on a different wing of Labour to Burnham, he also is a big character who wants to be PM, who will compete for space and narrative. The obvious choice to me... John Healey. 140

Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026I am telling you right now to Jews it feels like too little too late from the state after a series of violent antisemitic attacks. Why would you choose the moment our community is at its most frightened, when we've just been victims of violent hate crime (again)to say Jews get preferential treatment 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026I just don't get why you choose to advocate for one group by complaining about the way another oppressed group is treated. It doesn't feel very left wing or woke to me (someone who is both those things) to pit marginalised communities against each other. 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026People who think the Jews should have a state? 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Its just that when it comes to attack against Jews certain lefties are much more concerned about the perpetrator than they are the perpetrators of hate crime against other groups. So quick to dismiss it as just mental health - which is exactly what white supremacists do. 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026And you know what there absolutely should be questions asked and investigations done to make sure the violence was appropriate and if not there should be consequences. 110
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Many of these people proudly say you should punch Nazis or death death to the IDF but can't bear to see a violent approach taken to a violent armed man who had just stabbed two people. 300
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026How many minutes do you think before there were posts about it being a false flag attacks secretly carried out by mossad? How many hours after two Jews were stabbed did it take for the discourse to move on to hyper defensiveness of the Greens and talking about the perpetrators mental health. 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026I guess I just wish more folk on the left were willing to give Jews the space to feel this. To grieve for the safety we once felt. Sure there may be people who are pushing it in bad faith but Jews like myself are also deeply deeply concerned and it would be nice to not get dismissed. 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Far right racists will often say they are making legitimate criticism against Islam or Arab countries as a mask to islamophobia. And self declared lefties (of which I am one) call it out. Why do you choose to treat Jews differently. Why do you choose this moment to push this point. Have some grace.. 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 02/05/2026Jews are not white. For as long as there's been a concept of whiteness we have not been racialised as white. There are many Jews who are people of colour. What happened to intersectionality? And you are saying because of Israel the UK government is bias towards Jews - seems sketchy to me... 310
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026You are suggesting that for some mystery reason... the government and the media treat Jews better than other minorities. Is it that Jews own the government and media? Is that what you're saying cause it feels like that's what you're suggesting but are too cowardly to say. 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026It just feels like... for someone who claims to be left wing and woke, this is incredibly dissapointing. You are wearing those labels cause it feels good but you are being hypocritical and treating Jews as if they are not truly an oppressed community following yet another violent attack against us. 200
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026Right so I ask you again... why do you think Jews are treated differently by the government and the media? I get thay you're saying that they are, I am asking you to explain why that happens. 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026And I would still like to know what it is that causes the government and media to treat Jews differently? 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026Can you understand why after a series of attacks on Jews in the last few weeks; a few months from Bondi and Manchester - can you understand why after all thay violence against Jews it feels pretty shitty to be told that we get special treatment by media and government when this has got to this point 100
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026And I ask again: why do you think the media and the government treat Jews differently to other minorities? I understand you are asserting that Jewish concerns are treated differently to other minorities by government and media - I am asking you why. 000
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026This meaningless division only benefits fascists, white supremacists, racists, authoritarian etc. Our communities can work together and advocate for each other. There have been a series of violent attacks on Jews in the last few weeks and months. Why are you being so dismissive of our concerns? 200
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026I am absolutely concerned about terrorism, racism and violence against Sikhs. I am absolutely concerned about far-right fascist hate marches. I am absolutely concerned about Islamophobia. I would never throw one of those groups under the bus in order to advocate for one of my identities. 200
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026I agree with you and that's awful. But you are suggesting Jews get special treatment and I would like to know why you theorise that happens? 220
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026This is bullshit I'm afraid. As a queer left-wing Jew am I meant to pick? It is not a competition. It is awful that there hasn't as strong a response to homophobic attacks. You can campaign for better without pitting communities (which intersect) against each other. This is whataboutism at the least 020
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026You can be mentally ill and stab people on the street to terrorise a community. Mental illness doesn't excuse or dampen any of that for the Jewish community. It is possible to advocate for better state support of the LGBTQ+ community (of which I am part) without complaining when Jews get it. 150
Michael J Lewis @mrmjlewis.bsky.social · 01/05/2026Okay. I'm Jewish and left wing. I am scared. There have been a series of violent attacks on Jews this last year. My parents have been locked in their synagogue. A synagogue I regularly attended when younger had petrol thrown through the window. This was an act of terrorism on the Jewish community. 280
