Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Even I couldn’t believe it. Until I was actually there, I was wondering if I had made a massive mistake with an artist’s name (which has happened before, to me!). ‘We watch the stars’ lives in my soul. 110
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 06/10/2026This is a victim of relatability. You see fish everywhere; on TV, on menus, fish and chips. Games Workshop has a very health but private niche. It’s just doesn’t get the eyeballs fish does, making it seem less valuable as a whole. 000

Reposted by Stephen LockyerStephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Today is #StomaAwarenessDay - here’s what I’ve learnt in the past nine weeks: - mine is called Sven (when he’s good). Getting him quite literally saved my life. - I have to wear a small bag almost all the time, as I have no control over my output. 83810
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Same. In truth, the post surgery pain was far worse than the stoma by some magnitude! 020
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Weirdly, no issue at all! I bought some cotton covers to make the crinkly sound quieter, but aside from that, fine! 110
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026- I’m not ashamed of it, and will always happily answer questions about any aspect of having one, especially since the knowledge I had about them was a mix of myth and ignorance. Thanks for coming to my TED talk! 3121
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026- Again, it saved my life. I do hate it, but my friends and family have been amazingly supportive. This has made having one so much easier. - some friends didn’t know what to say, so said nothing. This is not a good sign as a friend. Grow a pair and send a text. 1121
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026- Because I have no control over my output, I never know when I need to change my bags, so I always have a change kit on me (not a problem, love a bag). - The surgery had a massive impact on me mentally, which I’m still struggling with (but it’s getting better). I’m v anxious about public toilets. 291
Stephen Lockyer @mrlockyer.bsky.social · 03/10/2026- The bags are about the size of a crisp packet, and are changed a few times a day. - They are practically invisible, don’t smell and are pretty quiet 99% of the time. - Having a stoma has ruined my deep sea diving career, but nothing else is off! I can run, cycle, hike, climb and have sex. 171
