I think I it’s fascinating to learn that Peter Cullen used to be one of the earliest voices of Mario in Mario history. We’ll miss him a lot 💖

Instead of doing a whole thread to share my thoughts on Dolly Parton, here's my Facebook post where I share how I will remember this legend.

I'll admit that I'm not that familiar with Dolly Parton as a country music artist. I don't follow the genre and outside of 9 to 5, I don't really know a lot of her songs.

However, what I do know about Parton and what I'll remember her best is her philanthropy. From her Dollywood Foundation, to her Imagination Library that help provide children to have books to read, to her support for human rights like for the LGBTQ+ community and women, to protecting bald eagles, to her donations for medical research, including for one of the COVID vaccines, to helping out disaster reliefs, and many more.

Just like Ms. Rachel, Parton is an example of using her Christian faith for good to help those in need and make the world feel like a better place to live when there's people like Dolly who dedicated her life and fame to uplift those that are less fortunate. Even without counting her contribution to the music industry, It's her kindness and empathy that made her a legend.

Have a good rest, Dolly Parton. You deserve to have peace after everything you've done for us. The only thing we can do to return the favor is follow your lead in your honor.

I can see that it's inspired by the German title for Space Goofs? 😅 Lol Though if I had to suggest something, maybe a short title that highlights their character (e.g. quirkiness) but is also unique to your style. :3 Good luck on your project in any case.^^

Even Bsky itself was supposed to be the anti-Twitter when it started, but when it lost its "invite link-only" aspect it started attracting the same problems that usually plague other social media, like spam accounts. It's why indie sites like Bliish have popped up recently to try & provide... (5/6)

And sometimes the platform itself could be at the mercy of big bosses who wanted to force their own agenda onto that platform (like with dA or Twitter/X), alienating users. It also shows with how many Big Tech platforms are so willing to Put AI into practically everything like it's a fad. (4/6)

Finally sat down and finished this one! Was fun to do. Names and IPs for characters in alt text. Kazooie and DK could be either and Barney fits in comfort too, it was hard to pick! Friend's favourite is one of @lycanluck.bsky.social's favourites, the March Hare!

A filled-in art meme involving various characters I like.

Current favourite: Lyle, Look Outside.
Comfort character: Kazooie, Banjo Kazooie.
By design: Barney, The Simpsons.
By plot: Caesar, Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
All time favourite: Donkey Kong and King K. Rool, Donkey Kong.
Guilty favourite: Prohyas, Mighty Magiswords.
Literally me: Barley Lightfoot, Onward.
First favourite: Littlefoot, The Land Before Time.
Friend's favourite: March Hare, Alice: Madness Returns.

AFAIK he was also involved with the Japanese DKC cartoon trading card game! 👀 That sounds mind-blowing on its own but if he indeed was behind its entirety, it would actually be cool & yet weird at the same time, since I happened to be attached to how the Kremlings were depicted in that artstyle 😂

Got inspired to dig this one up! It's 7 years old, but I felt like I'd rather consider it Done than just let it rot in my drives. Anyway! My interpretation of the #diddykongracing crew ten years later. I was super involved in these characters when I was younger so this is a tribute to that. #art
