Sent a package off to a friend today and the night before I felt the urge to doodle a little drawing on the box. I often share photos and stories of my feral cat adventures with her as she shares a mutual appreciation for the felines.

A little drawing I made on the outside of a box I shipped to a friend that shows a kitten inside a Halloween pumpkin bucket

My feral kitty was sure in a snuggly mood yesterday. He loves to sleep next to me,especially if part of him is touching me in some way. After he was invited inside for warmth, food, and attention, he got right up close and remained so for as long as I could be with him down on the floor

More of my feral kitty snuggling up close. This time using my arm as his pillow

"I saw it in the window, and I just couldn't resist it" The idea of this dress was not in the original script. Bob Mackie came up with the idea within the week before the show as a fantastic visual and funny homage to the curtain dress from the original movie

The Carol Burnett sketch"Went with the Wind"first aired on Nov 13,1976,less than a week after nearly the entire nation spent a total of 5 hours watching the broadcast television debut of"Gone with the Wind"on Nov 7th.Bob Mackie came up with the concept & designed this hilarious joke in a costume.RIP

The legendary "Went with the Wind" dress, conceived, designed, and made by Bob Mackie for The Carol Burnett Show. The dark green "dress" is actually curtains with gold fringe draped over the dress the character was wearing in the precious scene, cinched at the waist with the curtain tieback ropes, and still attached to the curtain rod which hangs at their shoulders. Prompting the character to say "I saw it in the window, and I just couldn't resist it"

Fun Fact ( which you may have already discovered) There are TWO different novelizations for Ghostbusters.Milne's version was published in '84 in the UK.And is more of a straightforward adaption. The Mueller version was a pub in '85 & expands on the movie.Including elements featured in the script

My faithful handyman has always had a way with words. Love Richard O'Brien, please keep him safe for just a bit longer. My heart really couldn't take that one too soon.

It is with an exceptionally sad heart and misted-up eyes that I share these words with you.

Tim Curry was a wonderful man by nature who was also a wonderful performer and understood the difference between such delightful achievements. He never sought attention and never put himself before the roles that he played. He was, in short, a good egg and class act. It was both a privilege and delight to have known him and worked with him.

Rest in peace dear Tim.

Richard

Ooh new(older) Mark Frost writing!I was pleasantly surprised to discover, decades after reading it,that Mr Frost's book "List of 7" was turned into a script. And then later still,in Guillermo del Toro's book "Cabinet of Curiosities", to see a two page mention of it with some illustrations and notes.

This reminds me of those series of A Nightmare on Elm Street picture books I once randomly found

There are some strange merchandise tie-in products out there but this takes the cake and eats it too. Childrens storybooks? For A Nightmare on Elm Street? WTF? Lets make a storybook that will terrify your child from ever sleeping again. Mommy reading :"The fingerblades slashed through Tina's flesh like butter. Her body was suddenly dragged up and around the room.Blood rained down on her boyfriend below from the deep gashes in her stomach. Rod screamed.Tina screamed. A trail of her blood followed her body from the floor to the ceiling. Choking on her own blood,Tina gave one last cry for help, then suddenly grew silent. Her body fell to the bed below with a splash.Blood splattered everywhere....OK Timmy, we will stop there and pick up where we left off tomorrow night. Now you lay down and go to sleep. Nighty night"
