With the cost of everything up this Halloween, it begs the question: Does candy even come in something smaller than "Fun Size" ? "Not As Much Fun" Size?

My feral kitty was sure in a snuggly mood yesterday. He loves to sleep next to me,especially if part of him is touching me in some way. After he was invited inside for warmth, food, and attention, he got right up close and remained so for as long as I could be with him down on the floor

More of my feral kitty snuggling up close. This time using my arm as his pillow

So,my feral kitty shows up this afternoon. He had only been showing up in the evenings for the past 3 days.I invite him inside to keep warm and eat.Afterwards,I grabbed a pillow and had a lay down with him.He got up,walked over, climbed up on the pillow and plopped himself down next to me like this

CAT ON MY HEAD ! CAT ON MY HEAD ! My feral curls up close on the pillow I just happen to be resting my head upon

Loving this Muppets take the Marvel Universe cover with Gonzo. Though why Gonzo's motorbike is not naturally set on fire as part of his stunt seems like a missed opportunity. Burn rubber, baby!

Caregiving for Mom & Dad,there is a lot of down time that requires waiting around for the next need.I've been filling those moments, until the sudden pull away, with revisiting old,to me,media. Lately,I have been reading through past issues of Starlog & Cinefantastique magazines.

The Carol Burnett sketch"Went with the Wind"first aired on Nov 13,1976,less than a week after nearly the entire nation spent a total of 5 hours watching the broadcast television debut of"Gone with the Wind"on Nov 7th.Bob Mackie came up with the concept & designed this hilarious joke in a costume.RIP

The legendary "Went with the Wind" dress, conceived, designed, and made by Bob Mackie for The Carol Burnett Show. The dark green "dress" is actually curtains with gold fringe draped over the dress the character was wearing in the precious scene, cinched at the waist with the curtain tieback ropes, and still attached to the curtain rod which hangs at their shoulders. Prompting the character to say "I saw it in the window, and I just couldn't resist it"

I have been forever fascinated by novelizations since a kid. They were a weird and wonderful way to revisit favorites. It's nice to see the genre continue with movies, especially horror, that were never given the treatment

I'm loving these new oversized, behind the scenes coffin table books. These things are huge, with full page photos. Hope this trend continues as there are a host of favorites and cult classics that in their day didn't receive the attention and appreciation (or barely a magazine article)

So wish I could have gone to the special Mystery Science Theater 3000 / Rifftrax showing tonight.....alas, caregiving responsibilities prevent me from escaping to some good ol' escapism. Guess I'll just have to hang with these guys at home and watch something delightfully awful

I have such an inconsolable need to go see Rocky Horror in a theater this Saturday.Though I have seen the movie countless times on screen(stopped counting at 1000)and on various home media,so much as to have character's minute movements memorized. It feels like a betrayal of self not to be there

My faithful handyman has always had a way with words. Love Richard O'Brien, please keep him safe for just a bit longer. My heart really couldn't take that one too soon.

It is with an exceptionally sad heart and misted-up eyes that I share these words with you.

Tim Curry was a wonderful man by nature who was also a wonderful performer and understood the difference between such delightful achievements. He never sought attention and never put himself before the roles that he played. He was, in short, a good egg and class act. It was both a privilege and delight to have known him and worked with him.

Rest in peace dear Tim.

Richard

Finally got to see a new movie in what seems like forever : Disclosure Day. And that was surprisingly underwhelming. For a Spielberg film it felt very big budget middle of the road bland.Spent most of the movie asking-is something going to happen or is this just a chase film?
