We cannot accept a world where violence is a risk girls are expected to navigate.

It's time to prevent violence, hold perpetrators accountable and end violence against girls and women.

An overview of introductory electrostatics. Coulomb's Law, calculating the vector force between charges, mapping electric field lines, and deriving the net field of an electric dipole along a perpendicular bisector. #NerdAlert #Physics #STEM
The image of a large blackboard details a lecture on classical electrostatics, focusing on Coulomb's Law, the Electric Field (E), and the field of an electric dipole.

1. Vector Form of Coulomb's Law (Top Right)
Defines the electrostatic force (F_12) between two point charges, q1 and q2:
• F_12 = (k_e * q1 * q2 / r^2) * r_hat_12
• r_hat_12: Unit vector pointing from charge 1 to charge 2.
• k_e: Coulomb's constant.

2. Definition of the Electric Field (Top Left)
The electric field (E) is the force (F_E) exerted per unit positive test charge (q0):
• E = F_E / q0 (Unit: Newtons per Coulomb, N/C).
• Direction: Points the same way a positive charge would move. Negative charges experience a force in the exact opposite direction.
• Point Charge Field: For a single charge q at distance r: E = k_e * q / r^2
• Field Lines: Diagrams show lines pointing outward from positive charges (+q) and inward toward negative charges (-q).

3. The Electric Dipole (Bottom Left)
Derives the electric field of a dipole (charges +q and -q separated by distance 2a) along its perpendicular bisector axis (y-axis):
• Components: Symmetry cancels vertical components; horizontal components add up.
• Individual Fields: E_+ = E_- = k_e * q / (a^2 + y^2)
• Resultant Field: E = [ 2 * E_+ * cos(theta) ] i_hat = 2 * [ k_e * q / (a^2 + y^2) ] * [ a / sqrt(a^2 + y^2) ] i_hat
• Final Equation: E = [ k_e * (2 * a * q) / (a^2 + y^2)^(3/2) ] i_hat (where 2aq is the dipole moment p).

4. Sample Problem Setup (Bottom Right)
Shows a vector problem resolving a multi-charge system:
• Fields are split into horizontal (i_hat) and vertical (j_hat) vectors using cos(45) and sin(45).
• Superposition is applied to find total net vector field: E = (E_x)i_hat + (E_y)j_hat.

The one and only, Cliff Burton. Cliff’em all!!!
Image showing Cliff Burton, the legendary bassist for the heavy metal band Metallica.

He played with the band from 1982 to 1986 and helped create their early thrash metal sound.

He was famous for his unique distorted bass solos, like the track "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth".

He tragically died in a tour bus crash in Sweden on September 27, 1986.The image shows Cliff Burton playing bass live on stage during the mid-1980s.

He was the original bass guitarist for the heavy metal band Metallica.

He performed on their first three studio albums: Kill
'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets.

Known for his aggressive playing style and heavy use of distortion and wah-wah pedals, he is widely considered one of the greatest bassists in metal history.

"Anytime you try to teach the subjects without teachers who love the subject, it is doomed to failure and is a foolish thing to do." —Richard Feynman

====

Richard Feynman, American theoretical physicist (1918-1988)

He shared the 1965 Nobel Prize in Physics with Julian Schwinger and Shin'ichiro Tomonaga "for their fundamental work in quantum electrodynamics (QED), with deep-ploughing consequences for the physics of elementary particles"

He is also known for his work in the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics, the theory of the physics of the superfluidity of supercooled liquid helium, and the parton model.

Feynman developed a pictorial representation scheme for the mathematical expressions describing the behavior of subatomic particles, which later became known as Feynman diagrams and remains widely used.

O(h), Canada
The image is a satirical meme depicting Canada looking away from the United States toward the European Union, symbolizing a political or cultural shift in preference.

Overview of Panels

Top panel: A stylized map showing Canada and Europe coming together, with the European Union's gold stars forming a bridge between them.

Middle panel: A meme format based on the "distracted boyfriend" stock photo, where a man wearing a Canadian-flag shirt is looking at an attractive woman representing the European Union (wearing an EU-star top), while ignoring a woman representing the United States (dressed in an American flag with the face of a 34-time felon).

Bottom panel: The European Union flag with one of its yellow stars replaced by a red Canadian maple leaf.

Four scenes: a weathered galleon at the South Florida Ren Faire; Gaudí’s colorful Villa Quijano; the neoclassical National Gallery in Trafalgar Square; and wind turbines across the golden Palouse. History, design, culture, and landscape in one feed. #randomness #travels #photography #resist
Wooden Sailing Ship — South Florida Ren Faire, ca. 2012–13

Rustic theatrical replica of an 18th/19th‑century sailing vessel, deliberately weathered.

Event prop that evokes maritime adventure and period spectacle; functions as photo set and immersive attraction.

Ship sits slightly left of center on calm blue water; dry grasses in foreground and treeline background create layered depth; tattered flags and dark hull add nostalgic, storybook drama.

Raised deck, railings, two masts, distressed fabric suggest staged antiquity rather than seaworthiness.
Ornate Ceramic Tower Building — El Capricho de Gaudí Villa Quijano, Comillas, Spain.

Catalan Modernisme; mosaic tiles, patterned brickwork, playful organic ornament and a crown‑topped cylindrical tower.

Signature Gaudí landmark blending craftsmanship and fantasy; high tourist and architectural value.

Warm, richly textured façade set against deep twilight blue; tower crown is focal point; cobblestone path and trees frame approach, inviting exploration.National Gallery Facade — Trafalgar Square, London

Neoclassical civic architecture with Corinthian columns and grand portico.

Iconic cultural institution and public landmark; banners and lamp post signal active museum programming and urban context.

Symmetrical frontal view; strong vertical columns and central dome convey gravitas; bright daylight highlights stone texture and formal geometry.Wind Farm on Golden Hills — Palouse region, eastern Washington

Rural landscape photography juxtaposing agricultural landforms with modern wind turbines.

Visual narrative of renewable energy integrated into traditional farming landscapes; scale and repetition emphasize transition.

Wide horizontal sweep of rolling golden hills; white turbines punctuate horizon under vivid blue sky and scattered clouds; airy, optimistic tone.

Directly below its eastern approach sits Cathedral Park, a beautiful riverside area named after the bridge’s soaring, cathedral-like arches.

This image highlights the contrast between the political platform of German politician (pictured) Alice Weidel's party, the Alternative for Germany (AfD), and aspects of her personal life.

Party PlatformImmigration:
The AfD promotes strict border controls and limits on immigration.Family Values: The party officially emphasizes a traditional family model.

Personal Life/Relationship:
Alice Weidel is openly in a same-sex relationship with her partner, Sarah Bossard, who was born in Sri Lanka.Residence: She shares a household with her family primarily in Switzerland while maintaining a secondary residence in Germany.

Public Discussion:
Critics and political opponents frequently describe these details as a contradiction to the party's official public messaging.

Weidel and her supporters argue that personal private arrangements do not conflict with her political work or her party's goals for the country.
