The Renault Farma was unique to the Greek market, where locally-made utility vehicles had a tax advantage at the time. Launched in 1979, it was built by MAVA, the Renault importer for Greece, and based on the R4. With 845cc power, the model came in 2- and 4-seat versions. #weirdcarbs

I’m a bit less active as I crashed my MTB this weekend and ended up in hospital. Was out for about 3 minutes, broken rib, collar bone dislocated and all bruised, but luckily home again.

The US-built Plymouth Horizon was developed alongside its European Chrysler/Simca sibling, but ended up significantly different.The Plymouth (and its Dodge Owni twin) in this 1980 brochure had a 1.7-litre VW engine, typically American trim packages, plus its unique coupé version. #weirdcarbs 🧵

The 360 was quite popular for racing in the Netherlands. In the 2010s it had its own racing series, the ‘360 no Modena Cup’, providing low entry to racing. It did however had an impact on the number of 360s left and their prices 🙃

The Daf 400 was quite a common sight in the Netherlands when I was young. Always like these Sherpa-based vans, they look so much better then the less wide Sherpa and Daf 200.

The Citroën Type H (most commonly known as the HY) is one of the most recognizable vans ever made. Thanks to the corrugated body panels, the panels could be thinner and lighter without sacrificing strength. Front wheel drive meant huge and practical loading space. It was made from 1947 to 1982.
