For now, maybe, but that will probably change. Same thing with the streaming services. Ellison will probably remove HBO's name after combining both. Those are the kinds of decisions that will sink this new mega-corporation.

Can just take a moment to acknowledge how incredibly stupid it is to name the company Skydance? You have 2 studios that have both existed for well over 100 years, and Ellison chooses to name it after his own mediocre company that he formed 20 years ago? The average person doesn't even know Skydance.

You can see just how much ego is involved in this. That's a bad sign. He even fired WB's Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, despite the fact that WB made WAY better movies than Paramount.

Saw Transformers: The Movie in theaters today. The movie originally came out 6 years before I was born, so the experience was surreal. Still one of the most beautifully animated films from the 1980's. The short film after the end credits was a perfect tribute to Peter Cullen. Til All Are One.
