😀Excited to share the new preprint!!!🥳 We show preserved self–other integration in social decision-making among individuals with elevated autistic traits (N = 1,621), highlighting the importance of large samples to validate null effects. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

Preserved self-other integration during social decision making among individuals with elevated autistic traits
Autistic people can find social interactions difficult to navigate, traditionally attributed to difficulties in taking others' perspectives. However, we have a limited understanding of how autistic pe...

Overall, the results challenge the idea that motivational symptoms universally impair decision-making. In the paper, we discuss potential reasons for this surprising finding. We are very happy to hear your thoughts, and please share!

Across 3 studies (1 preregistered), combined n>600, using 2 different RL tasks, we found that performance was positively correlated with anhedonia symptoms. General depression effects were mixed, but no correlations were negative. These results are unexpected so we look forward to feedback!

Great work by @sucharit.bsky.social suggesting that one failure mode in maintaining low self-esteem is the failure to integrate experiences of high confidence into self-esteem. Would be great to develop the intervention/therapeutic potential further.
