exactly! and it just keeps happening each time i go to post something about it, to the point where i just never do!

i enjoy lots of things, but usually just on my own in private, so people who follow me might not actually realize lol. online fandoms can get so messy!

120

.mp3neptune's skeleton 💀 🌌 @mp3neptune.bsky.social · 38m

i feel like i should interact with the furry community more bc a lot of them seem cool. i just get real freaked out interfacing with any sort of fandom/scene online bc i've had real bad experiences with that sort of thing in the past lol.

.mp3neptune's skeleton 💀 🌌 @mp3neptune.bsky.social · 44m

like, i just imagine i have wings and can fly, which is sick bc now I can soar over the grand canyon and stuff. i do not think about the process of growing them. (obv the wings are still in the analogy, like i said i'm a cat, but you know what i mean haha)

.mp3neptune's skeleton 💀 🌌 @mp3neptune.bsky.social · 47m

i agree! i guess what i'm saying is that tf is not a part of the internal logic for me. so i don't think about it as painful *or* pleasant. i simply do not consider it at all, if that makes sense!

110

.mp3neptune's skeleton 💀 🌌 @mp3neptune.bsky.social · 56m

this is true. some pros/cons are bigger or smaller pros/cons for different people. i internalize it in my head as a fantasy of having always been a weird little cat guy. tf honestly never crossed my mind once. it does make a lot of sense to me, tho!

010

.mp3neptune's skeleton 💀 🌌 @mp3neptune.bsky.social · 1h

there's a body horror about it, i think. like, my analogy is: it would be SO cool to be able to fly. but if i suddenly realized i'd started to grow wings from my back, that would be incredibly upsetting to me, personally! even tho the end result would be an ability to fly.

i'm really into makeup artistry. it's one of those formats that's intrinsically incredibly temporary, so anything done with it is extremely precious, even if it doesn't ultimately achieve what was intended. the sand mandala effect.

i'm especially happy with the section i wrote here about Western Digital, because it really describes a specific mixing technique that i've been a bit obsessed with for years now in a way that i think anyone can pick up on.

good news: this track sounds awesome bad news: the way i've got things routed makes it basically impossible to properly mix without messing everything up so it's just gonna mostly be as-is lmao. i think it sounds fine.

things that require visuals (digital festivals and the like) are so stressful for me because i'm generally REALLY particular about how my music is presented, so i'd rather just do it myself, but i'm also incredibly incompetent at making moving visuals.
