Sorry to vent on main but I'm just so sick of being a grown-ass adult online who can't openly enjoy talking about or drawing sex stuff even in completely adult spaces where all minors are completely banned just because everyone has gotta be such fascist controlling fucking babies about it

When giving your knight a bath, make sure he's comfortable and to scrub him thoroughly ❤️ Also got a bonus writing snippet to go with this art on my ao3: archiveofourown.org/works/667683... #dragonau #jmart #themagnusarchives #donotarchive

Drawing of Dragon!Jon and Knight!Martin sharing a stone bath in a private room of a bathhouse. Jon is settled against Martin's side while their tail is laid over his leg and wrapped around his cock, stroking him beneath the steaming water.

Martin is holding onto Jon tight, biting his lip to keep his sounds in so as not to let his moans leak out and give away what is going on in their room to anyone who could be outside.

Artists feel pressured to make new art too quickly at the moment. Normalise artists fucking disappearing for months. Just walk off into the woods for a year and come back with a single sketch. It’s good for you

currently experiencing 'little Verin carries little Essek home after Essek hurts his ankle' brainworms #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanArt

digital drawing of Essek and Verin Thelyss from Critical Role as children. they look to be around eight or ten years old and are dressed in lightweight summer clothing with geometric cuts and accessories that children of noble drow upbringing might wear. they both have pointy ears and curly hair; Verin's is very long and braided into twin plaits, while Essek's is relatively short and sits like a cloud atop his head, with more closely shorn sides. Verin is giving Essek a piggyback ride, his hands hooked under Essek's legs, with Essek's arms wrapped around Verin's shoulders. Essek is missing a shoe on his right foot, and the ankle is swollen and bruised; his right knee, visible from under the torn hole in his pants, is badly scraped. they're both glaring in the same direction off screen, Essek with his shoulders raised and barely hidden tears in his eyes, and Verin with a frowning and serious expression, ready to protect his big brother.

you might remember a rather racy painting i did of Caleb helping Essek into a fancy outfit, as well as it inspiring @luddleston.bsky.social to write an even racier fic, which prompted me to illustrate it. guess what, the fancy wizards saga is not over 😎 link to ludd's fic in replies! #shadowgast

saw @lakrisrot.bsky.social's gardener Essek cosplay and it was so cute that i had to draw it 🤭 #criticalrolefanart #criticalrole #essekthelyss

digital fanart of Essek Thelyss from Critical Role. he is a young-looking slender drow with dusky lavender skin, white freckles, and short curly blond hair. he is dressed in wide pleated pants, a long-sleeved turtleneck and a wide-necked shirt with shorter wider sleeves over it, as well as platform sandals and a sunhat, all in the shades of black. over his outfit he is wearing a mint green apron with a pattern of teapots, teacups and plants on it, cinched at his waist with a leather belt. there is a leather bag and a book at his hips, a large red rose and other plants in his apron pocket, and rose-patterned gardening gloves on his hands. he is standing with one hand on his hip, and fanning himself with a small gray fan in the other hand. his posture exudes an air of exasperation, and he has a displeased expression on his face.

a commission for @tuskteefs.bsky.social, who requested a full-render front view of Essek's outfit from a shadowbren drawing of mine, as a two-year anniversary gift and cosplay reference for @birdverbatim.bsky.social! happy anniversary, and thank you for commissioning me! #criticalrolefanart

digital fanart of Essek Thelyss from Critical Role, styled like character concept art and depicting him wearing two outfits. he looks the same in both depictions: as a slender young-looking drow with lavender skin and short white wavy hair, standing and propping a book against his side.

the first outfit consists of a close-fitting teal shirt, with elaborate voluminous sleeves ending in bracer-like cuffs, a high collar, and ginkgo leaves embroidered in brown thread; tight dark-brown leggings made of reflective fabric, and grayish-green boots with lacing in the back and metallic tips.

the second picture depicts a few outer layers worn over the first outfit. there is a sleeveless long brown coat visible in the opening of his cloak, worn with a wide layered sash sitting high on his waist. the cloak itself is a dark purple, edges decorated with fur, with arm openings in the sides. over the cloak, he is wearing an armor-like decorative shoulder and chest piece, iridescent white in color.

finally finished my early Essek expression studies! i adore Essek's expressiveness and his shadowhand mask is a whole separate flavor of that expressiveness #criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #essekthelyss

several expression studies of Essek Thelyss from Critical Role, based on in-game roleplay. in all of them he is depicted as a young-looking drow with short curly hair, slicked back on one side, and a shoulder and chest decorative armor piece, reminiscent of beetle carapace.

he is smirking, looking up in contemplation, frowning, casting a spell with an elegant flick of his wrist. in one sketch, he is laughing with a radiant smile, saying "I'd like to see you try!". in another, he is leaning forward with a pleased smile, thanking an off-screen Jester, who is saying "I really think that you're very handsome". in yet another sketch, he has a complicated expression on his face that is a mixture of annoyance and resignation; his hands are folded in front of his chest in a pleading gesture and his speech bubble reads "There would be nothing I would love more than to not be around you all".

i've been having tons of fun drawing Essek's fancy pinned up hair in my recent expression studies, but that led me to wanting to draw Essek with his hair down, which in turn spiraled into soft domestic cuddles. what else am i supposed to do when Essek is being so extraordinarily married #shadowgast

digital fanart of Essek and Caleb from Critical Role, utilizing lines in a gradient from pale blue-green to dark purple. they're both naked, lounging in bed with Caleb resting his head on the pillows placed in Essek's lap; Caleb's right hand is interlocked with Essek's left on Caleb's chest, and he's is looking up at Essek with a quietly love-struck expression.

Essek is depicted as a young-looking slender drow, with small pointed ears and shoulder-length curly hair falling over one shoulder. Caleb is a thin and wiry bearded human in his forties; his messy graying hair is splayed over the pillow and Essek's right forearm that is resting around Caleb's head, the hand touching Caleb's freckled shoulder slightly. Caleb has regularly spaced horizontal scars running down both forearms. the hand that is not locked with Essek's is lying on top of a thick tome next to him, closed.

i know Essek had about five seconds of screen time in ep98, but i am more powerful than the fact that my favorite purple wizard is just a background npc. so i've done more Essek expression studies #criticalrole #criticalrolespoilers #criticalrolefanart #essekthelyss

a collection of expression studies of Essek Thelyss from Critical Role, who is depicted as a young-looking drow with shoulder-length wavy hair, wearing a heavy cloak with a large fur collar.

1. Essek casting Gravity Fissure with an intense face.
2. Essek fidgeting nervously with his hands in front of his chest, saying "Anxiety gets to you."
3. Essek wearing an annoyed expression, mouth flat and eyes staring into mid distance, as if trying to compose himself; next to him, a speech bubble says "I don't need an explanation, it's cool".
4. Essek looking up with a wide-eyed expression, stammering, "Hello".
5. Essek turned to the side, his expression befuddled; his arms are bent with the palms open and up, as if awaiting direction.
6. Essek with his hands raised, the index fingers pointing up in a 'hold on' gesture.
7. Essek with an exasperated face on, saying "The blue boy is a show-off, isn't he", to which an off-screen Ashton replies "Oh yes". Essek responds "I respect that."

four digital sketches of Essek and Caleb from Critical Role, all of them depicting them kissing sweetly or with their faces close to each other, about to kiss. Caleb is portrayed as a freckled human with medium-length wavy hair and a beard, while Essek is a drow with curly hair, the length of which varies in each sketch from short to long, either let down or put up in a bun with a wooden stick.

you've probably seen me ramble about my hc that drow have dark purple/black blood, and i love that hc so much that i always wanted to incorporate it into my art somehow. and well. naturally you gotta do that by turning towards some trusted wizard tropes and letting Essek show some tongue #shadowgast

hey shadowgasts 🫶 i was reminded of this piece today. please enjoy it on bsky as well #shadowgast #criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #myart

A digital painting of two men in an intimate moment. One man, Essek, is kneeling and has his face pressed to the belly of the other, Caleb. Essek is looking down, anticipatory, into the unbelted trousers of his partner. Only Caleb's scarred torso is visible, but his hand is firmly-yet-gently cupping the back of Essek's head. There are tattoos on Caleb's arm, indicating this is an alternate, evil timeline where he did not renounce being a Scourger. This scene looks like it is mere moments before Essek eagerly bumps up the content warning on this picture from "suggestive" to "porn."

commission for @eldritchmochi, an illustration of a very steamy scene from his fic 'coping skills'! 😏 (link in replies!) this picture was a very fun challenge for me from the point of view of posing, and y'all know me. always happy to draw ropes 💜 thank you for commissioning me! #shadowgast

a digital lineart piece featuring Caleb and Essek from critical role. Essek is naked save for plain boxer-briefs, lying on his back with each of his forearms tied to the respective upper arm, with the elbows pointing up and the palms resting right next to his head on the pillow. he is blindfolded with a satiny sleeping mask, and is pressing his face into one of his raised arms. his legs are also tied, with his walking cane used as an improvised spreader bar, tucked in the fold between the calves and the back of his thighs. Caleb, dressed in a simple t-shirt that is slightly too big for him, is sitting on his haunches between Essek's spread thighs. he is pushing Essek's legs down closer to his stomach with his left hand on the back of Essek's thigh, while in his right hand he is holding a lit pillar candle, dripping melted wax onto Essek's chest with an expression of awe and reverence on his face.
