I had access to the new Claude Projects & was able to do some very complex work Here, I asked it to go through all the images, videos and records about Umberto Eco's famous 33,000 book library & try to reconstruct it, including book locations, in 3D. Not perfect, but wow eco-library-map.netlify.app

Locally prominent ham radio William "Bill" Parker, W8DMR, of Columbus, Ohio died on Fri. July 24, 2026 at the age of 99. He died peacefully in his sleep at home. He was a WW2 Navy vet who worked with early radar. As a teen, he was training others on how to use radar!

In the lab: Scientists have designed ‘smart’ insulin that automatically reduces blood sugar by switching itself on & off. Tested so far in animal models. The molecule—NNC2215—is in an inactive state when blood-glucose is normal. When it rises, glucose changes insulin's shape, flipping on the switch

Really in-depth paper on AI hallucinations in medicine, with lots of discussion and analysis about addressing them & what is appropriate for medicine But I found this bit on how much more accurate the latest models have gotten to be interesting (though more work is needed) arxiv.org/pdf/2503.057...
