and I can do a little personal coloring as a treat #furry

Pen sketch with digital flat colors slapped on. An anthro marten in a generic floaty pose wearing Wirt's outfit from Over the Garden Wall -- a navy blue cape and a pointy red hat over a white button-down shirt and grey pants. He has autumn leaves in his fur.

Hmmm needs Halloween icon... I realize I don't really have halloween-y art of my fursona... With my budget of not many dollars, I must go on a grand quest to find an artist to draw me one (Going to use the search feature filtered to People I Follow)

Shift Change (2025)

2025 limited color fantasy pet portrait of two cats on a chilly evening

in a cramped guard house, one long haired black and white cat lounges near a wood stove, his boots and scarf barely off him and his coat hanging by the door. Another, grey and white, pulls on his outer coat and steps towards the door. their shack is full of yarn, leaves, mud, books and notices.

Okay that's my daily yap, I'm off to go finish up my ecology lab report 😸

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

But for plush making, a machine to sew together test patterns would make a big difference. Right now I make my pattern and adjust as I sew pieces together... Not the best way to do it 😹

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I go back and forth on wanting to learn machine sewing. It would speed up the process a LOT but I also enjoy hand sewing, and machine maintenance is not something I want to worry about. Not to mention, machines are expensive.

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

All of that is just the sewing projects too 😹 I also have a million painting projects, a million DIY projects, and even some embroidery projects. I also do all my sewing by hand, no machine, so those projects take 5x as long as they would otherwise

Plus Vesper's body suit still needs to be vertically adjusted and the legs/arms need to be adjusted. And I want to make a mini tail for him so I don't have to drag around the 6+ ft tail.. I'd like options

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I also want to make mini pet plush for my family for Christmas... I don't think I'll have the time to do that this year. I also need to finish sewing up menta's fursuit head skin so I can wear him around!! I have all the parts cut out, I just haven't put it together AUGHHH

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I'm, I'd say, about 70-75% of the way done with the plush I'm making for my bf. And I REALLY want to make a cupsy yummy plush (I found some gorgeous soft red faux fur fabric at a second hand craft store), plus I want to make a menta plush and possibly a hand puppet too

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

But, the sad truth is even if I did have infinite time and infinite money, I would just have more unfinished projects than I do now LOL

Alex 🦁💚 @mothmen.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I do want a career, that kind of structure and stability will be nice, and I LOVE science, BUT sometimes I do wish I had infinite time and infinite money to create things like crafts all day
