Someone created a novel #Ruby #microframework called #DuoRuby on top of #Opal, #Falcon, #WebSockets, and #Glimmer #DSL for #Web to provide a Ruby-based Electron alternative: github.com/rbutils/duor... Apparently, he got his inspiration from attending my #wroclove.rb 2026 #Ruby conference workshop

I've updated my Bluesky Guide blog post 🦋 - rewritten the "federation" section to explain PDSes and AppViews - added links to a *ton* of new apps like Skyscraper, Flux, Heron, Indigo, Nubecita, Aeronaut, Hangar, Anisota, Witchsky - random updates everywhere about things that have changed on Bluesky

I've decided to write down some of the tips & tricks that I often give to friends when I send them an invite code, or the advice and answers that I sometimes give to people that I find in some feed asking about things. This of course got much longer than I planned 😅

Three Ruby conferences, each three weeks apart: #RubyConfAT, @rubyconitaly.bsky.social and @wrocloverb.com Three different perspectives and ideas, but the same heart at the center: the Ruby community.

Heading to Vienna for RubyConf Austria this friday. Looking forward to meet old friends and make new connections. If niche topics like event-driven architectures, event sourcing and dynamic consistency boundary are your thing, catch me there.

“Manhattan” – that’s what we call it. This massive, sculptural complex designed by Jadwiga Grabowska-Hawrylak is a symbol of Wrocław’s post-war brutalism. Right behind the conference venue (a lower building by the river), it quickly became a symbol of wroclove.rb as well! (1/2)

This sparked a chain reaction. Now I'm back at implementing Dynamic Consistency Boundary for RailsEventStore, measuring its performance implications over stream-based aproach and compiling a list of new event stores built on MVCC SQL engines that completely ignore issues with global sequences

Writing to help one person. And to remind myself how to write. On making encryption work with underlying JSON storage in Ruby/RailsEventStore. As soon as I've finished I've already had an idea for an alternative, drawing inspiration from Literal. I'm glad this one got out of the door!

If you are a Rubyist, you’ve likely been writing # frozen_string_literal: true at the top of most of your Ruby source code files, or at the very least, that you’ve seen it in some other projects.
