I forgot to post my garden update Saturday! My eggplants that I did a hard winter prune are doing shockingly well. I did lose about four plants, but thats better than wasting the entire crop. Some are even blooming again. I'm going to get eggplants again long before my seedlings ever produce!

I got my garlic shipment for this coming growing season. Its a hardneck variant called Vietnamese purple. Looks very pretty! I got about 10 bulbs. Into the fridge most of these go to vernalize, but I can't resist trying a few cloves.

Did more today. I'm starting to run out of mulch so I cut more bamboo down. Also got my onions covered in mulch and garden fencing. Refreshed the long flowerpots. And I got a ton of brassicas planted with my last attempt at Tiny Tim and Gold Nugget tomatoes this season. Exhausted.

Hectic couple of days. Got some stuff done in the garden this weekend but time was limited. Yesterday I found more strawberry runners so I am trying again in a different way. I also fertilized and added cardboard under a lot of plants. Got a free sweet potato plant out of it.

Wow! Unexpectedly got one of the heaviest rainfalls of the year so far. Almost everything fared ok, but I did find a few transplant cups that I must have forgot to cut holes into... Oops. I think I will lose all of my seedlings to two tomato varieties that were new. I should've realized Monday.

Incredibly busy day of transplanting seedlings. A lot of them arent doing well... I know exactly what the problems are but this year has been kicking my ass too much. Fingers crossed that I have any success. My best tomato seedlings... are volunteers that sprouted from a spring grow bag lol.
