Recently finished ANATOMY OF A WITCH. This is actually a great book for beginners, as it teaches us to trust our own inherent power before reaching out to external sources, e.g. spirits/daimones, deities, elements, etc. Love the emphasis on cultivating the magical self. #WitchSky

I ended up doing a belated Rite of Her Sacred Fires for the full moon since I was too spiritually and mentally muddled to do it in May. Interestingly, Artemis popped up in my meditation afterward instead of Hekate. I still enjoyed the experience though! Such a simple, beautiful little rite. 🔥

In the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, the Goddess attempts to make Demophon immortal by placing him in a roaring fire. The ritual would have worked if had it not been interrupted. So, when we find ourselves in the fire, perhaps the destruction is directly linked to our salvation. #witchsky #occultsky

As a Gemini moon, I wanted to do something special for the new moon in Gemini last night, but once again ended up fizzling out. Being wrong shouldn't be feared; as long as we pay attention, we can still learn something by being wrong. By being wrong, we learn how to recognize the subtle guidance of our intuition...or its absence.
